Global Mobility Tax Professional with English
We are Global Mobility Department which operates as part of Siemens Shared Service Centre based in Prague, Czech Republic. Our team’s responsibilities include operational tax processes associated with managing our organization’s international workforce and relocations to ensure talent can be deployed where needed while complying with local and international tax laws and regulations.
We are seeking a new colleague to join our global team to manage and oversee tax processes to ensure smooth operation for our internal and external customers.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage global individual tax compliance processes for internal and external customers, ensuring adherence to all Global Mobility Management (GMM) policies while collaborating closely with internal teams and external partners.
- Evaluate employees’ host-country tax liabilities and oversee the end-to-end shadow payroll process—from tax assessment and vendor engagement to data delivery and sharing outputs with stakeholders—using established process tools.
- Provide expert guidance by responding to employee and business partner inquiries on international taxation, including host-country obligations, home-country tax settlements, and reconciliation processes, ensuring clarity and compliance.
- Coordinate annual tax return preparation with external tax vendors by delivering accurate compensation and assignment data, managing timelines, monitoring progress, and ensuring efficient, compliant completion of the process.
- Manage global tax payments by initiating payment requests through internal finance systems, tracking deadlines, confirming remittances, and ensuring compliance with local regulations.
- Serve as the primary liaison between payroll, finance, and tax vendors to resolve discrepancies, maintain audit-ready documentation, and uphold strong internal controls.
- Prepare reports, analyze data, and monitor global mobility tax compliance status, ensuring timely and accurate reporting to stakeholders.
- Maintain accuracy and completeness of internal tools and systems used for tax compliance and shadow payroll processes.
- Collaborate with tax colleagues and case managers to continuously review and improve operational processes for greater efficiency and compliance.
- Mentor case managers and support colleagues on tax-related topics and processes, fostering knowledge sharing and capability building.
- Handle sensitive information with discretion, ensuring confidentiality and compliance with data privacy regulations.
Qualifications / Skills
- High school/university degree
- Fluent English
- Working knowledge of MS Office with strong Excel knowledge
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, ability to communicate effectively and work competently with teams in other geographic locations
- Knowledge of expatriate services, global mobility and tax is an advantage
- Analytical thinking and problem-solving skills
- Strong organisation skills, good time management and prioritisation
- Ability to work independently and comfortably navigate through ambiguity
- Flexibility and ability to manage multiple tasks/priorities in a very fast-paced environment
- Intercultural sensitivity
