Senior SCM Procurement Professional – Mexico

Location: Mexico City, Mexico
Organization: Siemens Real Estate (SRE), Supply Chain Management

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead strategic procurement for major construction and facility management projects, ensuring alignment with business objectives.
  • Develop and implement procurement strategies, focusing on supplier sourcing, contract negotiation, and EHS-compliant selection.
  • Analyze supplier proposals, conduct target cost analysis, and evaluate alternatives to optimize project outcomes.
  • Manage claim processes and support benchmarking activities through market analysis and best practice identification.
  • Monitor supply markets for risks and opportunities, implementing mitigation measures with project teams.
  • Build and maintain strong partnerships with contractors and suppliers to achieve the best balance of quality and cost.
  • Coordinate cross-functional teams and foster collaboration to maximize savings and efficiency.
  • Drive innovation and digitalization in procurement processes, leveraging tools such as SAP and advanced analytics.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering, construction management, or a related field.
  • Minimum 5 years of professional experience in procurement roles, with a strong focus on construction projects.
  • Extensive experience in Facility Management, including building operations, maintenance, vendor coordination, cost optimization, sustainability initiatives, and compliance with health and safety standards.
  • Strong background in Facility Management and related areas such as project management, quantity surveying, project finance, and commercial operations.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage complex projects and communicate effectively with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Strong negotiation skills, strategic thinking, and independent working style.
  • Advanced proficiency in Spanish and English; additional language skills are a plus.
  • Experience with SAP and digital procurement platforms is highly desirable.
  • This position will be hybrid

Preferred residence: Mexico City or nearby.
