Together with our customers, we combine the real and digital worlds.

With technology for smart and sustainable buildings and infrastructure, we transform the everyday for everyone. By combining the real and digital worlds, we empower our customers to reach their decarbonization goals, lower their operating costs and achieve world-class experiences for people. It’s not just about improving buildings – it’s about creating efficient, safe, adaptable and sustainable environments, which improve the way the world lives and works

The digital transformation of buildings is a fast-changing, dynamic sector, and it needs more than just great technology - it needs great people, too. We know a business only thrives if its people are thriving, so at Siemens we put our people first. Within our buildings business, our diverse global team will support you through your career and challenge you to grow in new and exciting ways, as we transform the world’s infrastructure

As we work to shape the future of global infrastructure, we are seeking a visionary and hands-on leader to serve as the Global Head of Advisory Services within our Sustainability Business. This role requires a unique ability to blend the real and digital worlds, combining management consulting expertise with deep knowledge of the energy transition

Location:  This position will be ideally based in Zug, Switzerland

The Role

As the Global Head of Advisory Services, you will lead a team of Senior Advisors globally and further build and expand our advisory practices

Additionally, you will guide clients through their transformation towards autonomous, sustainable, and energy-efficient buildings—from Net Zero master planning to leading global energy transition programs. You will help organizations across the private, public, and social sectors solve their most pressing sustainability and decarbonization challenges

You will collaborate closely with a diverse network of experts, from sustainability champions to energy performance engineers, as well as technology and services leaders, to drive the growth of our advisory business across LCBs and Tech Units, leveraging the full strength of Siemens Smart Infrastructure Buildings portfolio and services

Your new responsibilities

  • Lead strategic sustainability and energy transition consulting engagements, advising clients on economically viable pathways to net-zero and autonomous buildings across CAPEX, OPEX, financing, and subsidies
  • Drive profitable growth by leading external, revenue-generating consulting engagements and scaling the team’s market impact
  • Advise CxO-level stakeholders on sustainability strategy, SBTi alignment, and compliance with global frameworks (CSRD, CDP), translating regulatory requirements into actionable decarbonization and energy resilience masterplans
  • Guide clients in energy optimization, smart energy management, demand-side flexibility, and grid-interactive building solutions across multi-site and global portfolios
  • Drive data-driven advisory approaches by integrating IT/OT convergence, AI-enabled building operations, and digital platforms (e.g., Building X) to accelerate net-zero transformation
  • Lead and mentor senior consultants and global expert networks, collaborating closely with clients to design and implement low-carbon operational transformations
  • Monitor ESG regulations, market trends, and industry developments, contributing thought leadership and representing Siemens in sustainability and smart infrastructure forums

Your talents and experience

  • Master’s degree in the relevant field; additional MBA would be an asset
  • Significant experience in the design and implementation of management and sustainability advisory projects
  • Proven track record in a consulting role, with 5–8 years of expertise in digital / operational transformation and sustainability advisory positions
  • Strong ability to understand both business context and transformational methodologies, with a focus on sustainability, energy, decarbonization, and ESG-related topics
  • Thorough understanding of sustainability reporting frameworks and schemes.
  • Significant experience to advise clients on C-Level to drive transformational change
  • Results-oriented leader and problem solver with a strong work ethic and entrepreneurial mindset
  • Strong interpersonal, communication, and presentation skills, building relationships and motivating stakeholders effectively
  • Highly organized, detail-oriented, and committed to continuous improvement and innovative practices
  • Fluency in English (additional languages are a plus)
  • Willingness to travel internationally (30–40% of working time)
