AI / Data Engineer – Global Business Services
At Siemens, we believe that businesses only thrive if our people thrive. That’s why we always put our people first. Our global and diverse team will be happy to support and challenge you to grow in many ways. Who knows where our joint journey will take us?
As a Partner of Choice, Global Business Services (GBS) supports Siemens companies worldwide in achieving excellence in their internal processes across Finance, Human Resources, Information Technology, Supply Chain, Customer Service, and many more areas.
We are looking for an AI / Data Engineer (m/f/d) to join our GBS team.
You will make an impact by
-
Improving, stabilizing, and managing the data demand creation process by establishing clear workflows and governance to capture, prioritize, and track business data requests.
-
Enabling business-owned data product creation capabilities, allowing teams to independently create data products outside the traditional IT data analytics pipeline (e.g., using Microsoft Fabric or similar platforms).
-
Designing and developing automated data delivery pipelines from source systems such as SAP and SieSales to increase data availability, reduce manual effort, and decrease dependency on the current SAP → Snowflake → data consumption flow.
-
Laying the foundation for AI-powered data analytics, including capabilities such as conversational analytics (“talking to your data”) to make insights more accessible to business users.
-
Ensuring data quality by understanding, validating, and confirming data accuracy, as well as identifying and addressing data issues in collaboration with stakeholders.
You would describe yourself as
-
A graduate or advanced student in Engineering, Data Science, Statistics, Information Systems, or a related field.
-
A professional with at least 3 years of experience in data analysis, reporting, data engineering, or similar roles.
-
Experienced in building and maintaining data pipelines and working with complex data ecosystems.
-
Analytical, proactive, and detail-oriented, with strong problem-solving skills.
-
Comfortable working in cross-functional, international, and multicultural environments.
-
Fluent in English (advanced, spoken and written).
You will benefit from
-
A diverse and inclusive culture where people come first.
-
A wide range of learning and development opportunities, with access to more than 1,000 online courses.
-
A hybrid working model.
-
A strong focus on work-life balance.
-
The opportunity to work in a global organization with high-impact data and AI initiatives.
-
Competitive benefits aligned with Siemens’ global standards.
