Join our Legal team as Lead Lawyer/Head of Legal (m/f/d), SI India, preferably based at our Kalwa location in Navi Mumbai.

In this role, you will be a member of the Legal leadership team of Siemens India and the trusted Legal business partner for the SI India CEO and CFO. You will contribute directly to the success of the business by providing practical, strategic, and commercially attuned legal advice. You will report directly to the General Counsel, Siemens India.
Your key responsibilities:
- be fully responsible for advising the management of SI India on strategic, commercial, and regulatory matters.
- lead the SI India Legal team with particular focus on business-orientation, quality of legal support, employee growth and well-being.
- advance a sound governance approach to mitigate strategic risks stemming from new regulations or geo-political developments.
- support complex commercial projects, innovative business models, and software/service‑driven offerings.
- efficiently manage and provide strategic guidance on litigation, dispute resolution matters and investigations.
Your qualifications —
excellent and proven in practice.
You are a fully qualified lawyer with excellent academic credentials. An Indian legal background is a prerequisite.
You have:
- 12-15 years PQE (as a guide) in the relevant fields of work, acquired in a leading law firm and/or in-house department.
- ability to lead, motivate and inspire a team of legal counsels and contract managers, including with soft power outside of conventional reporting lines. Prior leadership experience is a plus.
- ability to adaptively and effectively communicate across management levels, geographies and cultures.
- profound legal expertise in business-critical legal topics.
- strong business acumen and customer focus while always maintaining highest ethical standards.
- strong analytical skills, results-oriented working mode and hands-on mentality.
- ambition to optimize and simplify in-house legal advice through artificial intelligence, standardization, and harmonization.
