In Egypt, Siemens Mobility is delivering one of the country’s first high-speed rail system. This landmark project, spanning approximately 2,000 kilometers, will connect 60 cities across Egypt, transforming transportation for both passengers and goods. Today, we are recruiting for a Site Civil Manager to join our Project Delivery team in Egypt. This is an excellent career opportunity for professionals looking to join a truly international team in one of the biggest projects of Siemens Mobility.

What are my responsibilities?

  • Manage the interface between Civil Contractors and Siemens System (E&M) scope during design and construction phases of railway turnkey projects.
  • Lead the integration of E&M systems into the overall rail system in coordination with consortium partners (e.g., track works), civil contractors, and consultants for main line wayside sections.
  • Coordinate and control all civil-related interfaces between Siemens System scope and involved civil companies.
  • Harmonize E&M interfaces across multiple civil contractors to prevent fragmented technical solutions and ensure standardized implementation.
  • Monitor civil contractors’ progress and ensure alignment with agreed interface protocols and project milestones.
  • Track compliance documentation and progress reports related to civil scope activities.
  • Manage consortium targets linked to civil scope progress and ensure timely access for SMO Systems in accordance with contractual interface agreements.
  • Identify delay risks impacting civil interfaces and assess potential business implications.
  • Develop and implement live mitigation strategies to minimize interface disruptions.
  • Establish governance mechanisms to avoid rework and protect project timelines.
  • Safeguard commercial and operational interests through proactive interface management and structured coordination.

What do I need to qualify for this job?

  • You hold a Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering, Architectural Engineering, Construction Management, or a related engineering discipline.
  • You have 12–17+ years of professional experience in Civil Engineering, including substantial exposure to rail transportation infrastructure and mega turnkey transport projects.
  • You are fluent in Arabic and English (business-level proficiency).
  • You are willing to travel domestically and internationally as required.
  • You have hands-on experience in core transport infrastructure development, including stations, wayside facilities, and depots.
  • You have practical exposure to track construction and railway systems integration.
  • You have managed technical interfaces across multidisciplinary engineering scopes.
  • You have reviewed tenders and analyzed contracts with a strong understanding of interface obligations.
  • You have experience in structural and civil works planning within railway infrastructure environments.
  • You demonstrate strong strategic project planning and structured execution capabilities.
  • You lead and align cross-functional teams to achieve complex infrastructure objectives.
  • You communicate effectively with senior stakeholders and influence decision-making processes.
  • You proactively engage customers and stakeholders while managing expectations.
  • You apply data-driven thinking and risk-based analysis to support operational decisions.
  • You uphold high standards of safety governance and regulatory compliance.
  • You bring experience in large-scale system integration across multi-layered rail environments is highly advantageous.
  • You have exposure to advanced analytics, reporting, and compliance-driven project controls is a plus.
  • You have successfully delivered projects under stringent regulatory and timeline constraints while maintaining reliability and quality standards.
