For our Smart Infrastructure – Electrification & Automation, Air Insulated Switchgear Medium Voltage and Low Voltage Switchboards Lead Factory in Gebze, we are looking for a Shopfloor Transformation Manager who will play a critical role in shaping the future of shopfloor excellence.

 

Reporting directly to the Head of Operational Excellence, the Shopfloor Transformation Manager will lead the Shopfloor Transformation Group, consisting of Method Engineering (ME), Technical Services (TS), and Workshop teams. This role is accountable for driving end-to-end transformation across manufacturing methods, technical infrastructure, maintenance capabilities, and shopfloor support systems to ensure sustainable operational performance.

What part will you play?

As Shopfloor Transformation Manager, you will:

  • Define, deploy, and continuously improve shopfloor transformation strategies covering Method Engineering, Technical Services, and Workshop activities, fully aligned with Operational Excellence and factory strategy.
  • Lead and develop three specialized teams through their team leaders:
    • Method Engineering (ME): A team of industrial engineers leading process design, work measurement, line balancing, capacity planning, and productivity improvement, while driving new product industrialization, factory layout and flow optimization, production investments, master data accuracy, and cross-functional continuous improvement initiatives to ensure efficient, compliant, and future-ready shopfloor operations. In this role, the team serves as the local interface to global product and manufacturing frameworks, translating global product, digital, and lean standards into scalable and compliant shopfloor processes while providing feedback to support global alignment and continuous improvement.
    • Technical Services (TS): Maintenance engineers and electrical & mechanical technicians responsible for equipment reliability, preventive & predictive maintenance, and technical infrastructure, while also enabling the structured collection, quality, and availability of machine and equipment data in line with global data strategy to support analytics, transparency, and data-driven improvement initiatives.
    • Workshop: An experienced blue-collar team responsible for the in-house manufacturing, maintenance, and lifecycle management of shopfloor transport units, fixtures, tools, and industrial equipment, while also overseeing workshop assets, facility-related works, and the design and procurement of operational and safety-related equipment to ensure safe and efficient factory operations.
  • Work in close partnership with the HQ Research and Development and Global Product Care teams on implementation of new products, SAP infrastructure and the globally managed product configurator, and with the HQ Lean, Automation and Logistic team on defining and deploying standards for lean manufacturing, automation, and logistics. Through this strong collaboration, the role ensures effective local deployment of global frameworks while contributing to global alignment and continuous improvement across plants.
  • Initiate, lead, and govern cross-functional transformation projects related to layout design, line setup, material flow, ergonomics, automation, and technical infrastructure optimization.
  • Work in close collaboration with Manufacturing and Logistics teams on the planning, prioritization, and execution of production and logistics investments, ensuring alignment with factory strategy, capacity needs, and operational excellence targets.
  • Establish a strong process and data foundation to support Lean Manufacturing, continuous improvement, and fact-based decision-making.
  • Ensure effective integration between manufacturing, logistics, factory planning and material management, quality control and quality management, digital transformation, and external service providers.
  • Drive EHS-related shopfloor improvements by embedding safety, ergonomics, and compliance requirements into process design, layout changes, and technical solutions.
  • Collaborate closely with Facility Management to align infrastructure changes, construction activities, and maintenance works with production, EHS, and operational excellence needs.
  • Act as a key factory representative during local and global Siemens audits as well as customer and TSE inspections, working in close collaboration with Quality Management and EHS to ensure compliance, transparency, and successful audit outcomes, and organize factory tours for benchmarking visits global/local technical delegations, and external stakeholders.
  • Oversee inspections, root cause analyses, and improvement actions across manufacturing, logistics, and technical processes.
  • Drive equipment availability, process stability, and shopfloor readiness through structured maintenance strategies and technical capability development.
  • Act as a role model for leadership, safety culture, and continuous improvement mindset across the shopfloor. Supports the lean organization by developing a solid process foundation and data integrity,

What you need to make real what matters.

 

  • Bachelor’s degree in industrial engineering discipline (Master’s degree is an asset).
  • Strong hands-on experience with shopfloor operations, production lines, or pre-manufacturing environments.
  • Proven leadership capability to manage experienced engineering and technical teams and to influence without authority in cross-functional settings.
  • Deep knowledge of Lean Manufacturing principles, continuous improvement methodologies, and operational excellence frameworks.
  • Strong analytical skills with experience in KPI definition, performance tracking, and reporting.
  • High level of ownership, decision-making capability, and result-driven mindset.
  • Strong communication skills with a collaborative and solution-oriented approach.
  • Strong intercultural competence, with the ability to communicate and collaborate effectively with global and cross-functional teams.
  • Ability to adapt communication and working styles appropriately when operating in multinational environments and across different cultural contexts.
  • Solid commitment to workplace safety and EHS standards.
  • Experience in working closely with Facility Management to align shopfloor layouts and infrastructure changes
  • Fluent in written and spoken English, and in addition preferably German.
