The Electrification & Automation (E&A) Business Unit offers the full range of energy distribution systems and solutions for all markets and through all sales channels. We are looking for a Brake Press Machine Operator I- 2nd Shift (3:00PM- 11:30PMET) to join our team. This position will be based at our Wendell, NC location.
Shift Hours: 3:00PM- 11:30PM
Hourly Rate: $22.46 + $1.00 Shift Differential
Please Note: You will train on the 1st shift for a period of time, at the manager’s discretion, before moving over to the 2nd shift.
You’ll make an impact by:
- Operate Trumpf Press Brake, including brake press setup to form steel, aluminum, and copper per blueprint specifications, and load, set up, and run offline bending programs for metal parts.
- Read and interpret blueprints for steel and galvanized parts while working in accordance with ISO and established work standards.
- Work directly with or under the direction of a Group Lead and/or Supervisor to support manufacturing operations.
- Complete confirmation documentation in a manufacturing data management system and access/utilize required documents using computers (e.g., Quality and Safety Documents, Operating Instructions).
- Support product manufacturing and assembly by following documented processes to ensure accurate completion of confirmations.
- Clean and maintain equipment and work areas to ensure proper functioning and safe working conditions.
You’ll win us over by having the following qualifications:
Basic Qualifications:
- Prior experience and knowledge in Brake Press setup, operation, and selecting/changing Press Brake tooling.
- Ability to read 2D & 3D blueprints, apply basic shop math, demonstrate digital literacy, and use basic mechanical/measuring tools.
- Must be able to speak, read, write, and comprehend the English language.
- Ability to work standing for the entire shift and perform physical tasks including stooping, bending, squatting, crawling, and climbing.
- Must be able to reach, grasp, lift up to 50 lbs, and push/pull/slide materials.
- Capable of safely performing physical labor in a manufacturing environment while meeting all job requirements.
- Legally authorized to work in the United States on a continual and permanent basis without company sponsorship
Preferred Qualifications:
- High School diploma or equivalent

The pay for this position is $22.46 per hour, plus an additional $1.00 shift differential. The actual wage offered may be lower or higher depending on budget and candidate experience, knowledge, skills, qualifications and premium geographic location.
