Position Overview:

Siemens Mobility is seeking to hire a Configuration Manager to track the total rolling stock configuration (modifications and part serialization) and ensuring implementation targets are met across the Amtrak and Multi-State (Illinois, Michigan, Missouri, and Washington) project’s fleet. You will be responsible for maintaining the overall fleet component tracking system and the field modification status report. You also have the overall responsibility for coordination with the customer’s field services and material departments to monitor the availability of modification material, documentation, and ensure the overall implementation schedule is upheld.

What your day-to-day will look like:

  • Ensure all component serial numbers and locomotive software implementations are recorded accurately in the contractual system of record, against the specific component and software scope specified in a respective contract.
  • Develop implementation plans in coordination with applicable customer representatives, to ensure the installation and completion of locomotive modifications and improvements.
  • Track and report locomotive modification and improvement installation status.
  • Monitoring the availability of FMI material kits for locomotive modification and improvement implementation.
  • Monitoring required FMI documentation to ensure record keeping is completed as specified in a respective contract.

To thrive in this role, you have:

  • Bachelor's degree or vocational training with verifiable experience in rolling stock maintenance.
  • Minimum of 2 years of planning and technical process tracking experience.
  • Basic understanding of tracking processes and systems, familiarity with CMMIS systems.
  • Experience in monitoring process execution.
  • Contract and commercial understanding.
  • Well-developed and demonstrated written and verbal communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Well-developed and demonstrated conceptual, analytical, decision making and problem-solving skills.
  • Organizational skills, including the ability to achieve agreed deadlines using effective teamwork.
  • Demonstrated experience in the use of CMMIS tool.

The pay range for this position is $82,212.00 - $96,492.00 annually. The actual wage offered may be lower or higher depending on budget and candidate experience, knowledge, skills, qualifications, and premium geographic location.
