Inside Sales Representative (Australia Market – Time Zone Based)

Are you ready to be at the forefront of digital transformation in industrial automation? Siemens Digital Industries is seeking an enthusiastic Inside Sales Representative to play a pivotal role in our technology-driven journey.

This is not a transactional inside sales role. This is a digital-first, revenue-owning, performance-driven account management position. We are looking for a high-performing digital seller who thrives on targets, owns their pipeline, and converts conversations into revenue. If you are disciplined in sales rigor, confident in virtual selling, and motivated by measurable outcomes, this role is for you.


Key Responsibilities

1. Revenue & Pipeline Accountability

  • Own assigned accounts end-to-end and manage the full sales cycle.

  • Build, manage, and convert a strong opportunity pipeline.

  • Deliver against defined revenue and order intake targets.

  • Maintain forecasting accuracy with strong sales hygiene.

2. Digital-First Selling

  • Run structured virtual customer engagements.

  • Use CRM, sales intelligence tools, and analytics to identify buying signals.

  • Conduct structured qualification conversations (budget, authority, need, timeline).

  • Close business through disciplined follow-ups and value articulation.

3. Strategic Account Penetration

  • Identify decision-makers and influencers within SME and mid-sized accounts.

  • Develop account penetration strategies to increase share of wallet.

  • Build long-term customer relationships beyond single transactions.

4. Value-Based Conversations

  • Sell outcomes, productivity, and efficiency—not just products.

  • Handle objections confidently (pricing, competition, delays).

  • Position Siemens as a technology partner, not a vendor.

5. High-Performance Discipline

  • Maintain a strong activity-to-conversion mindset.

  • Plan weekly activities and review pipeline progress consistently.

  • Make data-driven decisions and demonstrate consistent follow-through.


What We Are Looking For

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent) in engineering.

  • Language Proficiency: Strong communication skills in English; experience in the Australian market is a plus.

  • Sales Expertise: Proven Inside Sales or Digital Sales track record; experienced in managing full sales cycles virtually.

  • Presentation Skills: Strong verbal and virtual presentation skills over phone and video calls.

  • Product Knowledge: Familiarity with Siemens Digital Industries portfolio is preferred.

  • Analytical Skills: Ability to acquire expertise quickly, analyze customer insights, and provide value-based solutions.

  • CRM & Forecasting Discipline: Experience using CRM tools and maintaining accurate forecasts.

  • Work Schedule: Comfortable working early-morning hours aligned to Australia (5:00 AM – 2:30 PM IST).

  • Personal Attributes: Self-driven, target-focused, resilient, and disciplined.
