As a Solution Verification Engineer, you are responsible for verifying and validating crane automation solutions at system level. A key part of your role is the development and continuous improvement of universal test frameworks, enabling repeatable, scalable and consistent testing across multiple crane types and projects.

You work closely with solution engineers, PLC developers, software engineers and hardware specialists in international project teams. Using simulators, emulators and test environments, you analyse system behaviour, identify risks early and ensure that issues are resolved before reaching operations. When required, you support FAT, SAT and commissioning activities worldwide.

What makes this role unique is that it goes beyond executing tests – you actively shape how testing is done, combining technical depth with a strong quality mindset.

Your tasks

  • Develop and continuously improve universal test frameworks for reusable and scalable system-level testing across multiple crane types and projects
  • Define, execute and optimise system-level tests using simulators, emulators and test environments
  • Analyse system behaviour across software, PLC and hardware to identify risks and defects early
  • Document findings clearly and ensure follow-up together with engineering teams
  • Support FAT, SAT and commissioning activities when needed, mainly from a verification perspective

Your profile

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Industrial Automation, Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, Software Engineering or similar
  • Affinity with complex automation systems and system-level thinking
  • Able and willing to read PLC logic and reason about integrated system behaviour
  • Structured, quality-driven and analytically strong
  • Proactive team player who communicates clearly and takes ownership
  • Fluent in English (Dutch is a plus) and willing to travel occasionally

Experience with industrial networks, cranes, port automation or sensor systems is a plus, but not a must. Mindset and learning ability are more important.

What we offer

  • An exciting role in an international engineering team with an open and informal working atmosphere, based in The Hague, the Netherlands
  • A competitive salary based on your experience and skills, plus a benefits budget of 22.63% on top to spend on your own goals
  • Flexible working conditions, including hybrid working options, within a highly professional and collaborative team
  • Plenty of opportunities for professional development and growth through local and global career paths, mentoring and training programs
  • The opportunity to work on state-of-the-art automation solutions that contribute to safer and more efficient ports worldwide
