Transform the everyday with us

We are looking for a Finance Analyst (Early Professional) for our Contract Manufacturing business in Wendell, North Carolina, part of Wake County and located in the thriving Research Triangle area just 18 miles from downtown Raleigh, the state capital. This position requires the incumbent to be onsite. 

Spanning 272,000 square feet, this facility has been a cornerstone of Siemens' operations since the early 1980s and serves as the U.S. headquarters for Siemens' Electrification and Automation (EA) business. The facility produces state-of-the-art medium-voltage switchgear and circuit breakers, low-voltage motor control centers and switchboards, as well as replacement circuit breakers for switchgear modernization.

Through close collaboration with Finance, Operations, Supply Chain Management, Procurement, and Engineering teams, you will play an active role in supporting the growth and success of Siemens' Contract Manufacturing business.

As part of our Business and Performance Controlling team, you will support the financial management and strategic growth of our Contract Manufacturing business. This role offers a unique opportunity to work cross-functionally with Operations, Supply Chain Management, Engineering, Procurement, and Business Development teams to ensure the commercial success of externally manufactured products and services.

Responsibilities

  • Serve as the financial business partner for Contract Manufacturing activities and related projects.
  • Lead and support financial evaluations of new contract manufacturing opportunities, including business cases, profitability analyses, investment assessments, and commercial decision support.
  • Monitor and analyze contract manufacturing performance, including revenue, cost, margin, and productivity metrics as well as working capital management.
  • Prepare ad-hoc analyses, forecast scenarios, and management presentations to support business decision-making.
  • Support monthly and annual closing activities, including variance analyses and reporting.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to improve financial transparency and operational performance.
  • Assist in the development and implementation of financial controlling processes, reporting tools, and automation initiatives.
  • Support budgeting, forecasting, and long-range planning activities related to contract manufacturing operations.
  • Participate in strategic initiatives aimed at expanding and optimizing Siemens' contract manufacturing footprint.
  • Actively contribute to digitalization and automation initiatives that improve reporting efficiency and decision-making capabilities.

Basic Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, Economics, Supply Chain Management, Industrial Engineering, or a related field.
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively across multiple functions and organizational levels.

Preferred Qualifications

  • 3+ years of relevant professional experience preferred, but not required, including internships, co-op assignments, rotational programs, or full-time roles in finance, accounting, business analysis, operations, supply chain, or a related field.
  • Exposure to a manufacturing or industrial environment through employment, internships, co-op assignments, or academic projects.
  • Familiarity with SAP or other ERP systems.
  • Experience with or exposure to Power BI, Power Query, reporting and analytics tools, low-code applications, or automation solutions.
  • Basic understanding of product costing, profitability analysis, business case development, or other operational finance concepts.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate across functions and organizational levels.
  • Ability to prioritize multiple tasks, take ownership of assigned responsibilities, and meet deadlines in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.
  • Strong interest in commercial finance, strategic projects, manufacturing and supply chain operations, and contract manufacturing business models.

The pay range for this position is $61,547 - $100,509 annually. The actual wage offered may be lower or higher depending on budget and candidate experience, knowledge, skills, qualifications, and premium geographic location.
