  • Performing line balancing, time studies, motion studies, and workflow optimization.
  • Conducting plant simulations; Siemens Plant Simulation experience strongly preferred.
  • Applying Lean tools such as Kaizen, Kanban, SMED, 5S, and value stream mapping.
  • Identifying and eliminating waste across production and logistics processes.
  • Collaborating with engineering, operations, supply chain, and EHS to align design with requirements.
  • Facilitating Lean workshops and training sessions with multi-functional collaborators.
  • Developing project timelines and deliverables; track progress to ensure cost, quality, and schedule alignment.

You’ll win us over by having the following qualifications:

Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Industrial Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, or a related field.
  • 10+ years of experience with the following:
    • Lean manufacturing, industrial engineering, or production system development—automotive or discrete manufacturing preferred.
    • Confirmed expertise in factory layout design, line optimization, and material flow engineering.
    • Proficiency in CAD tools for layout planning.
    • Experience with work center design, production line balancing, and time studies.
    • Excellent analytical, communication, and problem-solving skills.
  • 3+ years of experience with plant simulation tools.
  • Willingness to relocate within a yet undetermined area between Chattanooga, Charlotte, Atlanta, and Augusta or in the Dallas/ Ft. Worth area.
  • Legally authorized to work in the United States on a continual and permanent basis without company sponsorship

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Siemens Plant Simulation strongly preferred.
  • Lean certification such as Lean Six Sigma Green Belt or higher.
  • Industrial safety training.
