We are looking for Lean Manufacturing Specialist. This position will be located within 180 miles of Roebuck SC or in the Dallas/Ft. Worth Area.
We are seeking a highly experienced Lean Manufacturing Specialist to support the design and optimization of a new manufacturing facility. In this role, you will serve as a senior individual contributor with the potential to step into a leadership position as the project advances. You will be responsible for developing an efficient, scalable factory layout and driving process improvements across production, material flow, and logistics.
You’ll make a difference by:
- Leading the development of the factory layout using Lean methodologies and CAD tools.
- Designing production flow, work centers, and workstation setups to support safe, ergonomic, and high-productivity operations.
- Defining material logistics strategy including material flow, storage, Kanban loops, and line-side delivery.
- Performing line balancing, time studies, motion studies, and workflow optimization.
- Conducting plant simulations; Siemens Plant Simulation experience strongly preferred.
- Applying Lean tools such as Kaizen, Kanban, SMED, 5S, and value stream mapping.
- Identifying and eliminating waste across production and logistics processes.
- Collaborating with engineering, operations, supply chain, and EHS to align design with requirements.
- Facilitating Lean workshops and training sessions with multi-functional collaborators.
- Developing project timelines and deliverables; track progress to ensure cost, quality, and schedule alignment.
You’ll win us over by having the following qualifications:
Basic Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Industrial Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, or a related field.
- 10+ years of experience with the following:
- Lean manufacturing, industrial engineering, or production system development—automotive or discrete manufacturing preferred.
- Confirmed expertise in factory layout design, line optimization, and material flow engineering.
- Proficiency in CAD tools for layout planning.
- Experience with work center design, production line balancing, and time studies.
- Excellent analytical, communication, and problem-solving skills.
- 3+ years of experience with plant simulation tools.
- Willingness to relocate within a yet undetermined area between Chattanooga, Charlotte, Atlanta, and Augusta or in the Dallas/ Ft. Worth area.
- Legally authorized to work in the United States on a continual and permanent basis without company sponsorship
Preferred Qualifications:
- Siemens Plant Simulation strongly preferred.
- Lean certification such as Lean Six Sigma Green Belt or higher.
- Industrial safety training.
- APICS or supply chain/materials management certifications.
- Experience supporting new facility startups or expansions.
- Familiarity with ERP and MES systems.

The pay range for this position is 109,670 - 188,006 annually with a target incentive of of the base salary. The actual wage offered may be lower or higher depending on budget and candidate experience, knowledge, skills, qualifications, and premium geographic location.
