Transform your expertise! Are you an experienced Commissioning Engineer ready to leverage your invaluable field knowledge in a strategic, office-based role? Do you aspire to shift from on-site commissioning to sustainable system improvements, applying your hard-won lessons to prevent future failures? Siemens invites you to transform your field expertise into lasting technical solutions as our new Warranty Engineer. This is a unique opportunity to advance your career, enhance your work-life balance by significantly reducing travel, and drive impactful change at a global leader.

About the role:

At Siemens, we believe in fostering an environment where innovation thrives, and our employees achieve their full potential. Our Project Support Team is at the forefront of ensuring the reliability and performance of our cutting-edge electrical systems, particularly in critical infrastructure such as data centers. As a Warranty Engineer, you will play an important role on this team, transitioning from reactive field problem-solving to proactive, analytical work that shapes our future products and processes.

You’ll create impact by:

  • Technical Analysis & Root Cause Identification: Conduct in-depth technical investigations of warranty claims related to low and medium voltage electrical systems. Utilise your hands-on experience to identify root causes of failures, malfunctions, and performance issues.
  • Warranty Claim Management: Manage the end-to-end warranty claim process, from initial assessment and documentation to resolution and stakeholder communication.
  • Process Optimisation & Best Practices: Translate field insights into actionable recommendations for design improvements, manufacturing enhancements, and installation best practices. Contribute to the continuous improvement of our products and services.
  • Collaboration & Knowledge Transfer: Work closely with R&D, Quality, Production, and Service teams to disseminate lessons learned and ensure robust solutions are implemented across the product lifecycle.
  • Reporting & Analytics: Develop and present comprehensive reports on warranty trends, failure analyses, and improvement initiatives to senior management.

What you'll bring:

  • A degree in Electrical Engineering or a related discipline.
  • A minimum of 5 years of proven experience in electrical systems, specifically within low and medium voltage applications.
  • Demonstrable experience in field-based roles such as Commissioning Engineer, Service Engineer, or similar, with a strong understanding of system installation, testing, and troubleshooting.
  • Exceptional analytical skills with a keen eye for detail and problem-solving.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, capable of collaborating effectively with diverse teams and presenting complex technical information clearly.
  • A proactive approach to identifying and implementing improvements.
  • Familiarity with English conventions in technical documentation is highly desirable. The main languages in this business unit are English and Dutch.

Our benefits:

Reduced Travel: Enjoy the stability of an office-based role with significantly less travel compared to traditional field engineering positions, allowing for a better work-life balance.

Impactful Work: Apply your extensive practical experience to influence product development and operational excellence, making a tangible difference to Siemens' global reputation for quality.

Career Growth: Access to continuous professional development, training, and clear pathways for career progression within a leading international technology company.

Collaborative Environment: Work within a supportive and innovative team culture that values expertise and encourages knowledge sharing.

Comprehensive Package: A competitive salary, generous holiday allowance, pension scheme, and a range of other employee benefits (our Terms of Employement).
