Sr. Supply Manager

Job Responsibilities:
- Develop commodity strategies and technology roadmaps for electrical/electrical-mechanical commodities that best align with technology and business requirements.
- Responsible for ensuring supplier capabilities while developing capacity plans and flexibility models/agreements.
- Work closely with Engineering to influence design decisions to meet technical capabilities, and business objectives.
- Work with multi-functional teams to assess current and future sourcing requirements.
- Develop commodity sourcing strategies including contract negotiation, cost targets, supply chain risk evaluation and mitigation.
- Participate with other team members (engineering, quality) for any source audit/qualifications needed for new source approval.
- Track and report quarterly commodity market trends/conditions.
- Negotiate global spending and cost reduction for assigned critical commodity items.
- Conduct routine business reviews at primary critical sources
- Continually identify and implement new opportunities for cost savings and cost avoidance and proactively supervise the progress.
- Implement programs for supplier evaluation, selection, qualification and supply base optimization.
- Manage overall supplier relationships including supplier performance, capability development, cost and quality improvements. Act as a partner concern point for any critical gaps in supply or other critical issues.
- Advise management on alternate global supply sources, component material costs, commodity pricing trends, and supply/demand situations that could impact the business costs or supply.
- Monitor current commodity market conditions to identify challenges and develop business continuity plans needed to avoid interruption of supply.
- Identify alternate sources required to provide competitive price negotiations while minimizing risks associated with sole sources of supply.
- Provide creative solutions to improve lead-times and flexibility requirements so that Siemens has optimum flexibility and limited liabilities.
- Negotiate MSA/MOU for critically assigned commodities.
- Provide commodity plans that address long lead-time, high costs and NCNR commodities. These plans are to include flexibility models and liability limitations, cost erosion plans etc.
- Assist contract manufacturers if needed to negotiate E & O exposure for successful resolutions.
- Commodities to manage will be electro-mechanical and other PCBA components with many global sources to manage.
- Other duties/projects as the need arises.
Qualifications:
- BS or BA degree from an accredited 4-year college or university.
- Proven experience is required in Supply Chain, Procurement and Commodity Management. 7-10 years preferred.
- Knowledge of electro-mechanical commodities and high-tech industry.
- Experience in PCBA and high dollar components is helpful.
- Experience in vendor management process and working with contract manufacturers.
- Procurement of experience, project management skills, and capable of working with multi-functional teams.
- Self-starter and is capable to own their own commodities as assigned.
- Experience working well with global multi-functional teams & suppliers.
- Background working with PDM tools (Arena or Agile) and ERP systems.
- Proficient to advanced skills in Excel and Power Point.
- Must be detail oriented, analytical, process savvy, customer focused, and adaptable to business needs
- Domestic/International travel as the need arises.
This position will be subject to U.S. export control requirements under the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR) and/or Export Administration Regulations (EAR). Employment is contingent on either verifying the U.S. Person status or obtaining any necessary export license.

The pay range for this position is $84,000 - $151,200 annually. The actual wage offered may be lower or higher depending on budget and candidate experience, knowledge, skills, qualifications, and premium geographic location.
