Sr. Technical Platform Cloud Architect

Position Overview:
You will be responsible for developing, testing and maintaining applications in AWS Cloud Services with established processes while staying updated with AWS innovations and recommend new services or features. You are responsible to drive continuous improvement in cloud architecture and DevOps practices by working closely with development, operations, and business teams to align cloud strategies with business goals.
Additional Responsibilities:
- Define architecture best practices and patterns for cloud-native applications.
- Implement and manage infrastructure using tools like AWS CloudFormation, Terraform, or AWS CDK.
- Implement IAM policies, encryption, and secure networking practices.
- Set up monitoring and alerting using CloudWatch and third-party tools.
- Design scalable, secure, and highly available cloud solutions using AWS services.
- Automate deployment pipelines and configuration management.
- Ensure cloud solutions adhere to security standards and compliance requirements (e.g., GDPR, HIPAA).
- Monitor and optimize AWS resource usage to manage costs effectively.
- Recommend reserved instances, savings plans, and right-sizing strategies.
- Lead cloud migration projects from on-premises or other cloud platforms to AWS.
- Modernize legacy applications using AWS services like Lambda, ECS, EKS, and serverless architectures.
- Provide technical leadership and mentorship to engineering teams.
- Analyze performance bottlenecks and optimize workloads.
- Maintain architecture diagrams, technical documentation, and operational runbooks.
- Establish governance frameworks for cloud usage and resource provisioning.
Key Requirements:
- Bachelor’s Degree
- 2 -5 Years experience, prefer Python along with a statically typed language like Java or C#
- 3-6 Years experience migrating applications to AWS, prefer experience with serverless technologies
- Experience with DevOps practices (TDD, CI, CD, etc.) Exposure with working with and integrating multiple vendor software applications
- Abilities like problem solving, analytical, time management & decision making, self-motivated
- Must have an engineering mindset, with a strong desire for continual improvement of self, team, and organization
- Proven ability to learn and adapt to multiple data-related services, programming languages, tools, and architecture frameworks.
- Strong technical skills. Knowledge of Agile. Good aptitude, positive attitude, strong reasoning and communication skills.
- Must be a good team player.
- Good analytical skills and research oriented.

The pay range for this position is 105,100 - 189,200 annually with a target incentive of 5-8 of the base salary. The actual wage offered may be lower or higher depending on budget and candidate experience, knowledge, skills, qualifications, and premium geographic location.
