You’ll make an impact by 

  • Within the Global Factory Network (GFN), you will be responsible for calibration technology as an expert in the Test Engineering department. Within this role you will take over the technical and strategic coordination of the technology across our plants.
  • You will drive change management intensively, particularly regarding new technologies and processes and the increasing digitalization of our processes.
  • You will monitor the market and relevant technology trends to identify opportunities and risks at an early stage. Based on this, you will develop local technology roadmaps (including machine/system selection and proof of concepts) and department-wide guidelines. 
  • Other tasks include improving the quality of the manufacturing process through data-driven measures, including artificial intelligence.
  • Furthermore, you will be responsible for establishing and maintaining networks within SIEMENS to leverage synergies and exchange best practices.
  • You will work closely with the GFN steering committee and take responsibility for reporting on targets.
  • You will work closely with our certification bodies such as PTB or FORCE to ensure that our calibration processes comply with international standards. In doing so, you will develop efficient strategies for achieving these standards and identify potential ways in which targeted compliance with standards can be used to gain a technological and economic competitive advantage.

You excel in

  • Education
    • The basis for your success in this role is a master's degree or similar qualification in physics, process engineering, electrical engineering, or mechanical engineering.
  • Experience & Skills
    • You have experience in managing employees at various hierarchical levels and across functions, even without disciplinary responsibility.
    • Your expertise is based on extensive technological know-how in the field of calibration, functional testing and test software deployment. A particular focus is on flow measurement of small to very large flow rates and pressure measurement.
    • You already have experience with project management methods and you are familiar with QM tools (process FMEA, etc.) and KPIs (FPY, OEE, etc.).
    • You have are experienced in working with software and digitization solutions.
    • Your fundamental knowledge of moderation methodologies and workshop design helps you to effectively convey knowledge and standards.
  • Ways of working
    • Intercultural understanding is important to you, and you use your experience to work collaborative with people from different cultures.
  • Languages
    • You have very good written and spoken English skills.
    • German and French skills are desirable.
