Apply now for the position of MR Scientist based in Dubai, UAE to strengthen our MEA (Middle East and Africa) Scientific Partnerships Team, we are looking for a full-time “MR Scientist” to work closely with our research partners in MEA Zone.

The role includes coordinating and supporting collaborative research activities between Siemens Healthineers and Partner Institutions in the field of Magnetic Resonance Imaging. The role is embedded in our international and interdisciplinary MEA Scientific Partnerships (SP) network. It is strongly supported by the global collaboration teams of the Business Line Magnetic Resonance in Erlangen.

Tasks and responsibilities:

  • Ensure the successful planning, execution and completion of joint research projects (SW and HW) in collaboration with Partner Institutions.
  • You will support the development and deployment of novel imaging sequences, advanced reconstruction techniques and innovative RF technology.
  • You will drive the validation of technical concepts for future product integration, and continuous collection of feedback for prototypes and coordinate communication amongst the participating departments.
  • Proactively support the research community through customer meetings, KOL sites networking and collaborations. Be able to present the SIEMENS research network and the research activities to potential participants, to expand our research footprint
  • Actively contribute to our EMEA expert meetings as part of our large collaboration community and maintain regular contact and contribute to the predevelopment roadmaps of the team in Erlangen.

Qualifications & Skills:

  • You have a master’s degree or PhD in MR physics, medical informatics, signal or image processing, biomedical engineering, electrical engineering, or an equivalent discipline.
  • 10+ years of experience, including 5 years in a dedicated MR Scientist role
  • You have sound professional/academic experience in the field of MR physics, sequence developing and image reconstruction (C++, IDEA, ICE), signal or image processing (Matlab), RF HW development, data management, data analysis and visualization.
  • Be able to clinically assess the MR images and point out / address image quality issues.
  • You have experience in the design of research/clinical studies and have a significant publication record, including several co-authored articles in peer-reviewed international scientific journals.
  • Excellent communication skills in English (spoken and written). French is a plus.
  • Excellent organizational skills with a high degree of autonomy, process orientation, and attention to detail, while creative at finding solutions through interpersonal communication.
  • Passionate about healthcare innovation.
  • Willingness to travel to support the research community on extended territory of Middle East and Africa.
