Position Overview:

The Factory Commissioning Test Technician is responsible for commissioning, troubleshooting, and performing repairs on next-generation light rail vehicles, locomotives, and coaches. Based in Sacramento, this role requires hands-on expertise with electrical, mechanical, and pneumatic systems to ensure vehicles meet operational and safety standards. The technician plays a key role in validating system functionality and supporting the delivery of high-quality rolling stock to customers.

What your day-to-day will look like:

• Perform electrical and mechanical commissioning on locomotive and coach cars
• Troubleshoot, document and repair electrical and mechanical failures
• Work with state-of-the-art dialogistic test equipment.
• Understand and comply with company and industry safety standards.
• Communicate with others, verbally and in writing, technical information, job procedure recommendations, and other work-related information.
• Have ability to work independently and among a team with multi-disciplinary backgrounds.
• Read, interpret and understand written or electronic schematics.
• Use PTU’s to troubleshoot various systems onboard light rail, locomotive and coach vehicles.

To thrive in this role, you have:

• High school diploma (or GED)
• 3+ years’ experience in electrical testing.
• Must be proficient in electrical, pneumatic, mechanical troubleshooting

The pay range for this position is $47,175.00 - $55,105.00 annually. The actual wage offered may be lower or higher depending on budget and candidate experience, knowledge, skills, qualifications, and premium geographic location.
