Siemens Electrification and Automation is seeking for one exciting addition to our engineering leadership team. We are growing fast, and our ever-expanding team needs new leaders to help shape the future. In this role, you will support the growing systems engineering team providing more focused effort on employee development, improving customer experience, long term growth initiatives and process improvements. You will also be responsible for leading and developing a team of engineers responsible for engineering all technical aspects of customer projects.
We are looking for an Engineering Manager for our Power Systems Protections & Automation group. This is a hybrid position based in Denver, CO.For the first three months of this position, the role will be based in Wendell, NC for training.
You’ll make an impact as you:
- Manage the day-to-day needs of the Systems Project Engineering team, including training, and coaching new team members, performance evaluations, schedule management, escalation resolution, and coordination with other teams and customers.
- Drive long term process improvements and increase team efficiency through lessons learned analysis, creative preventive action plans and driving those plans through implementation.
- Mentor team members and create an environment where employees can grow and succeed in their chosen career paths.
- Keep the team engaged, motivated and productive.
- Provide hands-on technical training and support for employees as needed.
You’ll win us over by having the following qualifications:
Basic Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in electrical, electronics, or computer science.
- 7+ years of experience in a technical engineering role
- 3+ years of experience in a role of Lead Engineer of projects, working at a detailed design level on power systems protection, controls, or automation.
- Extensive knowledge demonstrated in Substation Protection, Automation and Network communications solutions.
- Ability to analyze customers’ technical specifications regarding the application of PA products and systems, apply appropriate solutions to meet the customers’ expectations in a cost-effective way on a timely manner.
- Ability to travel up to 35%.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Master’s degree or higher.
- Strong communications skills and demonstrated presentation skills to diverse audiences.

The pay range for this position is $112,669 - $193,147 annually with a target incentive of 10% of the base salary. The actual wage offered may be lower or higher depending on budget and candidate experience, knowledge, skills, qualifications, and premium geographic location.
