At our factory network Siemens AG develops and manufactures electric motors for the global market. Our target customers are in the field of automation technology, in the automotive industry and in the field of intra-logistics. Key responsibilities

· Design and Innovate: Develop and engineer packaging solutions for new and existing Siemens products

· Material and Cost Optimization: Strategically select materials that balance cost-effectiveness with high performance and environmental impact

· Performance and Compliance: Conduct rigorous testing to validate packaging integrity under diverse real-world conditions, ensuring all designs meet Siemens' stringent internal guidelines and external regulatory standards.

· Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner with engineering, supply chain, and manufacturing teams to seamlessly integrate packaging into the overall product lifecycle, from development through distribution.

· Sustainable Sourcing: Work closely with suppliers to drive innovation in sustainable packaging materials and practices

· Problem-Solving: Utilize a data-driven approach to troubleshoot and improve existing packaging, enhancing efficiency, and minimizing waste throughout the supply chain. 

Required skills and qualifications

· Educational Background: Bachelor's degree in Packaging Engineering, Materials Science, Industrial Design, or a related field.

· Technical Expertise: Proven proficiency with packaging-related software and a strong command of material science. Knowledge of industrial automation solutions for packaging machines is a significant advantage.

· Digital Skills: Experience with digital technology and data analytics is highly valued

· Communication:  Verbal and written communication skills to effectively collaborate with multidisciplinary and international teams.

· Strategic Mindset: Ability to balance technical specifications with strategic business objectives, including sustainability goals.
