About Siemens Foundational Technology Department
Siemens Foundational Technology is the central in-house research unit at Siemens and as such occupies an outstanding position within Siemens' R&D facilities. It acts as a strategic partner to support Siemens’ business units with R&D services, protects the company’s intellectual property, coordinates the collaboration with top universities worldwide, and supports standardization activities in all business units and regions. Through its R&D activities in Germany, USA, Portugal, China, India, Japan, and Eastern Europe, Siemens Foundational Technology helps to secure the company’s technological future and strengthen its ambition.

Your mission will be… 
  • Part of Siemens family by integrating our Sustainable Energy & Infrastructure technology team.
  • Incentivized to create innovation in the energy sustainability arena.
  • Working with consultants and business representatives in an international environment, for our projects in the sustainability area.
  • Self-paced learning and on-the-job training.
  • Work in an Agile environment, integrated into a multidisciplinary team.
  • Acquire the DevOps mindset and competences.


We are looking for someone with…
  • Completed Master’s Degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Physics Engineering or other equivalent disciplines with strong knowledge in Computer Science.
  • Fluency in English both written and oral (mandatory).
  • Good communication and networking skills in an intercultural environment and across all management levels.
  • Team-oriented spirit and willing to integrate an international team.
  • Be proactive, a technology knowledge seeker, work with a team and be able to solve problems.
Tech Stack (must-have):
  • Python / FastAPI Framework.
  • SQL (PostgreSQL, SQLAlchemy).
Tech Stack (nice-to-have):
  • Domain Knowledge in Energy & Sustainability.
  • AWS Serverless Architectures (Lambda / DynamoDB / S3 / …).
  • Javascript / Typescript / React framework.
  • Unit Testing (Pytest).
  • Git / Gitlab.
