We are seeking an exceptional executive leader to drive and scale our North American Mobility Software business — encompassing the Mobility-as-a-Service (MaaS) segment, Train Planning Systems, and Sqills, empowering passenger transport operators worldwide with our software solution S3 Passenger, for multi-channel sales & distribution.
This role carries full P&L responsibility and sets the strategic vision, growth roadmap, and operational execution for a portfolio of mobility software solutions. The business connects intelligent journey planning, passenger information, ticketing and fare collection, booking, inventory management, and train planning software — creating integrated, data-driven mobility ecosystems for cities, agencies, and operators across the U.S. and Canada.
The role will collaborate with the CEO of Siemens Mobility North America and be part of the regional leadership team.
You will combine your deep rail and transit expertise with strong software business sense, excel at handling sophisticated and interoperable offerings, and lead impactful, multi-functional teams to achieve measurable customer and business impact.
Key Responsibilities
Strategic Leadership
- Define and implement the regional strategy for the Mobility Software portfolio, including growth plans, customer development, and market positioning.
- Align with global headquarters on portfolio priorities, innovation roadmaps, and investment strategies.
Go-to-Market & Sales
- Build and implement a scalable go-to-market (GTM) strategy, including partnerships, ecosystem alliances, and channel development.
- Collaborate with Siemens Mobility regional sales teams to develop key accounts and maintain a robust opportunity pipeline.
Portfolio & Product Management
- Shape and steer the regional product and solution roadmap across journey planning, ticketing, passenger information, rail and bus operations, and train planning/optimization.
- Ensure market and customer needs drive portfolio evolution and competitiveness.
Financial & Operational Performance
- Lead business forecasting, pipeline reviews, investment decisions, and performance management.
- Drive operational excellence across both direct and matrixed teams to achieve sustainable profitability.
People Leadership
- Lead and inspire a growing team of ~20 mobility software professionals.
- Foster a culture of innovation, accountability, and customer-centricity.
- Develop leadership talent and high-performing teams aligned to business goals.
What You’ll Do Day-to-Day
- Make key strategic and operational decisions in collaboration with multi-functional and global partners.
- Build trusted relationships with customers, partners, and industry leaders.
- Drive business growth through customer engagement and market intelligence.
- Oversee budgeting, forecasting, and performance reporting to ensure transparency and results.
- Represent Siemens Mobility as a recognized, inspiring leader in the digital transformation of transportation.
Required Skills & Experience
- Proven experience leading a software-driven business within the mobility, rail, or transportation technology sector.
- Strong understanding of transportation operations, and digital ecosystems.
- Validated success in P&L ownership, strategic planning, and multi-functional leadership.
- Track record of scaling software or digital solution portfolios in complex enterprise or government sectors.
- Exceptional communication, partner management, and team-building skills

The pay range for this position is $207,876 - $309,468 annually with a target incentive of 25% of the base salary. The actual wage offered may be lower or higher depending on budget and candidate experience, knowledge, skills, qualifications, and premium geographic location.
