Choose the best place for your work – Within the scope of this position, it is possible, in consultation with your manager, to work mobile (within Germany) up to an average volume of 60% of the respective working hours.
Even more flexibility? Mobile working from abroad is possible for up to 30 days a year under certain conditions and in selected countries.
This position is full-time or part-time with a minimum of 30h/week.
This position can be filled in Erlangen, Germany or Lisbon, Portugal.
Your tasks and responsibilities:
- With your professional expertise you will act as Subject Matter Expert in Treasury to maintain AML and KYC processes globally.
- You will analyze existing AML and KYC processes across Treasury operations to identify inefficiencies, regulatory gaps, and improvement opportunities; lead or support the implementation of enhanced or new processes to ensure global compliance and operational effectiveness.
- You will monitor regulatory changes and proactively adjust internal procedures to maintain alignment.
- You will advise on treasury-related compliance regulations and respective controls in regards of AML processes and KYC requirements.
- You will monitor and assess risks related to external payment service providers and ensure adherence to BaFin, and other regulatory standards.
- You will advise on business models and financial structures to identify licensing needs such as payment services, financial transfer, lending, deposit, or guarantee business licenses.
- You will collaborate with internal stakeholders to ensure proper licensing for financial activities (e.g., payment services, leasing, lending, insurance).
- You will develop and deliver relevant training programs for Treasury and Finance.
- You will support digitalization initiatives and compliance projects within the area of responsibility.

Your qualifications and experience:
- You hold a university degree in Finance, Business Administration, Law, Economics, or a related field.
- You have several years of experience in Compliance, Risk Management, Treasury, or Regulatory Advisory within financial services or corporate treasury.
- Professional certifications in Compliance, AML, or Risk Management (e.g., CAMS, ICA, ACAMS) are considered a strong advantage.
- You have a proven track record in implementing AML and KYC processes.
- You possess a solid understanding of AML/KYC regulations, financial crime prevention, and international compliance standards.
- You are familiar with financial licensing requirements, including payment services, lending, leasing, and guarantee business.
- You have knowledge of BaFin requirements and other relevant regulatory frameworks (e.g., EMIR, Dodd-Frank, MiFID II).

- You are a strategic thinker with a proven ability to independently solve complex problems, present multifaceted issues clearly, and drive continuous process improvements through strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
- To communicate easily in our international (team) setting as well as with international stakeholders, excellent English and German language skills are necessary.
- You thrive in a global environment and excel at building strong collaboration across diverse functions, including Legal, Compliance, Treasury, and Finance.
- You combine efficiency with accuracy and approach challenges with a proactive, ‘can-do’ mindset.
