This position can be filled in Erlangen, Germany or Lisbon, Portugal.

Your tasks and responsibilities:

• With your professional expertise you will act as Subject Matter Expert in Treasury to maintain AML and KYC processes globally.
• You will analyze existing AML and KYC processes across Treasury operations to identify inefficiencies, regulatory gaps, and improvement opportunities; lead or support the implementation of enhanced or new processes to ensure global compliance and operational effectiveness.
• You will monitor regulatory changes and proactively adjust internal procedures to maintain alignment.
• You will advise on treasury-related compliance regulations and respective controls in regards of AML processes and KYC requirements.
• You will monitor and assess risks related to external payment service providers and ensure adherence to BaFin, and other regulatory standards.
• You will advise on business models and financial structures to identify licensing needs such as payment services, financial transfer, lending, deposit, or guarantee business licenses.
• You will collaborate with internal stakeholders to ensure proper licensing for financial activities (e.g., payment services, leasing, lending, insurance).
• You will develop and deliver relevant training programs for Treasury and Finance.
• You will support digitalization initiatives and compliance projects within the area of responsibility.

Your qualifications and experience:

• You hold a university degree in Finance, Business Administration, Law, Economics, or a related field.
• You have several years of experience in Compliance, Risk Management, Treasury, or Regulatory Advisory within financial services or corporate treasury.
• Professional certifications in Compliance, AML, or Risk Management (e.g., CAMS, ICA, ACAMS) are considered a strong advantage.
• You have a proven track record in implementing AML and KYC processes.
• You possess a solid understanding of AML/KYC regulations, financial crime prevention, and international compliance standards.
• You are familiar with financial licensing requirements, including payment services, lending, leasing, and guarantee business.
• You have knowledge of BaFin requirements and other relevant regulatory frameworks (e.g., EMIR, Dodd-Frank, MiFID II).
