Siemens Osakeyhtiö is looking for a Junior Procurement Specialist to work with indirect procurement, strategic sourcing, and supply chain management working out of our office in Espoo, Finland. You will join SCM Nordics, a team of experienced colleagues located across the Nordic and Baltic countries, who have embarked on an exciting journey of harmonising standards, processes and sourcing strategies, taking supply chain management to the next level across the Nordics. You will work closely together with 12 colleagues, who drive functional excellence, category management and local buying across multiple business units.

What is your role?
  • Maintain supplier documentation across the Nordic sourcing portfolio (e.g. qualification, selection, evaluation, development, classification, contract administration and archiving) – ensure transparency and consistency across data sources
  • Ensure purchases comply with Siemens internal policies and procedures 
  • Execute local indirect procurement activities for Finnish business units, including sourcing of local services and regional supplier relationship management
  • Prepare and support category bid/tender processes with 3rd party suppliers in collaboration with the strategic sourcing team to obtain highest feasible savings in accordance with budget expectations (indirect categories)
  • Generate, document and implement savings to contribute to the success of the business and make results transparent utilising global tool solutions
  • Drive implementation and maintenance of e-catalogues for indirect product/services portfolio
  • Ensure a close cooperation with internal stakeholders to ensure customer care and early involvement
  • Contribute to the implementation of optimisation/harmonisation projects across the Nordics in close collaboration with process owners
  • Support the implementation of global/regional initiatives in the fields of digitalisation, cybersecurity and sustainability
Who are we looking for?

According to your personality, you are a good business partner and get along with different people. You will find solutions to different challenges and situations. You are experienced in strategic sourcing, master data maintenance and bring a digital mindset. Your communication skills are excellent. Fluent English is a prerequisite (Finnish desirable).

You dare to plan and develop new ideas, thinking outside the box while embracing new technology. Even though we work with great professionalism and commitment, a cheerful sense of humour and a positive atmosphere are part of our daily work!

Your skills and competences include:
  • Analytical and strong negotiator with a keen sense of good business acumen
  • Good commercial, financial and contractual awareness
  • Structure with attention to detail ensuring high-quality master data
  • Proficiency in problem-solving to identify and resolve potential issues across products and services
  • Interest in implementing new digital solutions to optimise tasks and workflows
  • Experience in managing multiple projects simultaneously meeting deadlines/targets
  • Possess great interpersonal skills - experience of working within a complex / matrix organisation
  • Strong sense of ownership and self-drive when working independently as well as within teams
  • Knowledge of procurement processes and principles
Your desired qualifications:
  • Relevant educational background and experience in procurement/supply chain 
  • Bachelor or master’s degree in business, Procurement, Supply Chain or related fields
  • Proficiency in MS 365 Applications, financial tools, procurement processes (S2C, P2P) and ERP systems (preferably SAP)
