Senior Financial Analyst, FP&A

Joining our dynamic FP&A team within one of the most exciting business units at Siemens offers a unique global platform for your personal and professional growth. You'll be an integral part of a data-driven, business-minded, and diverse team, driving crucial financial planning, accurate forecasting, and insightful financial performance analysis. Through your contributions, you will provide vital transparency on financial performance, enabling informed assessments and strategic decision-making for key stakeholders, including the CFO.
Responsibilities
- Lead and execute key FP&A activities, including robust monthly forecasting, meticulous quarterly closing processes, and comprehensive annual budgeting, ensuring accuracy and strategic alignment.
- Facilitate and lead insightful financial reviews with key stakeholders, translating complex data into clear, actionable transparency on financial performance for informed decision-making.
- Cultivate and maintain strong collaborative relationships across various business segments and departments to gather critical financial insights, align on strategic objectives, and ensure comprehensive financial reporting and analysis across the organization.
- Leverage advanced analytical skills to extract, interpret, and synthesize data from diverse financial systems (e.g., SAP, ESPRIT, Hyperion), proactively identifying key trends and drivers to inform critical business strategies.
- Play a pivotal role in the financial integration of acquisitions, providing comprehensive FP&A support to ensure seamless financial alignment and reporting.
- Proactively identify and champion opportunities to design innovative new analyses and refine existing FP&A processes, driving continuous improvement in productivity, accuracy, and efficiency.
- Conduct complex ad hoc financial analyses to address urgent business needs
- Actively contribute to optimization projects, leveraging digitalization and automation to enhance FP&A capabilities.
- Develop and prepare high-impact presentations for Senior Finance Leadership, distilling complex financial information into clear, concise, and compelling narratives for strategic discussions.
Qualifications and experience
- Education: A Bachelor's degree in Finance, Business Administration, Accounting, or Economics is required. A Master's degree or relevant professional certifications (e.g., CFA, CPA) are a distinct advantage.
- Experience: A minimum of 7+ years of progressive and relevant experience within a dynamic finance environment, with a strong focus on FP&A or financial reporting.
- Domain Knowledge: Demonstrated profound financial acumen with a strong emphasis on business analysis and strategic financial insights.
- Technical Proficiency:
- Expert-level proficiency in financial modeling and analysis using Microsoft Excel.
- Mastery in crafting compelling and clear presentations using PowerPoint for senior leadership.
- Ideally, hands-on experience with advanced analytics and Business Intelligence (BI) tools such as KNIME, Power BI, or Tableau.
- Analytical Acuity: Exceptional attention to detail and unwavering commitment to accuracy in all financial analyses and reporting.
- Communication: Superior written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to articulate complex financial information clearly, concisely, and persuasively to diverse audiences, including senior executives.
- Mindset: A proactive and continuous learning mindset, coupled with excellent analytical and decision-making capabilities to tackle complex financial challenges.
- Ownership & Drive: A highly self-motivated and results-oriented individual, demonstrating a strong sense of ownership and accountability for deliverables.

The pay range for this position is $124,000 - $223,100 annually with a target incentive of 5-10% of the base salary. The actual wage offered may be lower or higher depending on budget and candidate experience, knowledge, skills, qualifications, and premium geographic location.
