As part of the Sydney Metro – Western Sydney Airport (SMWSA) project, we are seeking a Site Engineer to support the Construction Lead and Project Engineer across the delivery of Rail Systems for your assigned section of the alignment. This full‑time onsite role will contribute to the safe, efficient and customer‑focused planning and execution of critical works across one of Australia’s most significant rail infrastructure projects
In this role you will:
- Support the Installation & Commissioning Manager and Senior Project Engineer with site access coordination between Civil and Siemens Rail Systems works across all installation lots.
- Lead specific HV, MV and LV installation work packages and support the management of trades personnel and specialist subcontractors.
- Contribute to construction interfaces and the handover process from Civil to Siemens Rail Systems.
- Assist in preparing installation documentation, including work packs, and support four‑week look‑ahead planning (4WLA).
- Ensure compliance with Siemens project frameworks such as configuration management, change management and RFI processes.

- Degree in Electrical Engineering with 3+ years’ professional experience in Rail Systems engineering, construction or testing & commissioning on complex rail projects
- Knowledge of railway distribution networks, electrical safety rules, local and international rail standards, safety legislation and quality management processes (ITPs, ITRs, defect management)
- Demonstrated experience working with Civil–Rail Systems interfaces and multidisciplinary project teams
- Valid RIW card, White Card and driver’s licence, with flexibility to work weekends or night shifts as required
