Choose the best place for your work – Within the scope of this position, it is possible, in consultation with your manager, to work mobile (within Germany) up to an average volume of 60% of the respective working hours.
Even more flexibility? Mobile working from abroad is possible for up to 30 days a year under certain conditions and in selected countries.
Your tasks and responsibilities:
- You will independently drive the development of comprehensive acquisition, reconstruction, and evaluation techniques for neuro-applications including the creation of related documentation.
- Your primary focus will be on developing methods to automate the examination workflow and ensure an optimal image quality, for example by using AI algorithms.
- You will work both with internal and external development teams as well as international clinical and scientific partners. Your focus will be to develop clinically relevant and well-integrated solutions which you evaluate with customers in the context of collaboration projects and drive towards product.
- You will translate solution ideas and customer feedback into requirements for future product developments and work closely with the product development teams.
- As part of your responsibilities, you will prepare and present your work at internal and external meetings and scientific conferences.

Your qualifications and experience:
- You have completed a Master's/Diploma degree in (medical) physics, biomedical engineering, medical informatics, or a comparable field
- You have several years of relevant professional experience with medical imaging techniques and their clinical application, ideally in neurology. Alternatively, you hold a PhD in this field.
- You have extensive knowledge of MR physics and sound programming experience in Python and C++.
- You have good knowledge of machine learning and medical image processing and are proficient in the corresponding frameworks.
- Ideally, you also bring experience in MR sequence programming (experience with MR-IDEA & MR-ICE would be a plus).
Your attributes and skills
- You enjoy working on complex questions and translating them into practical solutions.
- You are innovative and present your ideas and results confidently and convincingly.
- Since we document and communicate with external partners and customers in English, you have fluent proficiency in English, written and spoken. Proficiency in German is a plus.
