Within the Test division, we are looking for a Product Development Engineer Fundamentals to join the Simcenter Testlab development team in Leuven, Belgium. In this role, you will collaborate closely with Siemens partners to translate Product Management requirements into high quality, state of the art software features. You will help shape performant solutions with an intuitive user interface, ensure the robustness of existing software, and work according to the Agile development methodology defined in the Product Creation Process.


As a Product Development Engineer, you will be defining and delivering core functionality for the Simcenter Testlab portfolio, contributing throughout the full development lifecycle. 


Your responsibilities include:

-  Defining functional requirements and specifications for upcoming releases, and validating the delivered functionality once implemented by the development team.

-  Presenting newly developed features through internal demonstrations, providing internal (non customer) training, and contributing to the maintenance and updating of user manuals.

-  Handling an extensive annual consolidation and quality testing period.

-  Supporting internal and customer questions and problem reports by reproducing, analyzing, and testing reported issues.

-  Collaborating closely and constructively with collaborators across Product Management, Product Development, and other development teams.

-  Working in line with the Agile development methodology.


Your succes is grounded in:


-  Master’s degree in engineering, or equivalent industrial or academic experience.

-  Clear communication skills, both spoken and written.

-  Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, getting to the root cause. Combine analytical thinking with a result-oriented approach.

-  Ability to proactively identify upcoming risks, issues, and bottlenecks and communicate to the stakeholders.

-  Eager to develop new or extend existing application functionality with a high quality standard, by putting forward the importance towards customers.

-  Being able to think as an end user for an application used by test engineers and test operators.


Additional information:


-  We are seeking a candidate located in Belgium. This position can be remote (2 office days/week), working from the Leuven office in Belgium.

-  The ideal candidate is a proactive team player who enjoys sharing input, values constructive feedback and demonstrates the ability to work autonomously.
