What is this opportunity?

Siemens Ruggedcom is looking for a motivated and self-driven Industrial Network & Security Consultant, to be a part of their team. The company is part of a Siemens Digital Industries and a leader in the development of networking solutions designed for mission critical applications in harsh environments. This is an exciting opportunity for you to provide your expert consultation on IT/OT networking topics and enable the digital transformation journey of your customers.


 What will you do?

  • Develop end -to- end OT Network and Security architectures, including integration to IT
  • Create detailed design documentations for complex Industrial network and security solutions
  • Optimize an existing network and stage network for testing as needed
  • Develop content for white papers and technical presentations
  • Develop training course curriculums, build training material, and perform training activities as needed
  • Prepare and present detailed technical proposals, including product demonstrations and solution prototypes
  • Resolves complex technical problems to meet customers needs
  • Perform on-site activities including configuration, integration and testing of industrial network and security solutions
  • Perform system tests and produce reports as required
  • Generates technical collateral such as blueprints, application notes and whitepapers.

What will you need to succeed?

  • Bachelor’s degree in Telecom / Electrical / Computer / Mechanical Engineering / Computer Science or equivalent technical degree.
  • Must love working with a customers!
  • Over 3 years relevant experience or strong academic credentials and certifications
  •  Extensive hands-on experience with multivendor network infrastructures
  • Understanding of technologies used in OT vs IT environment. - Typical assets, communication protocols, technical architectures
  • Experience with OT-ICS systems (SCADA/DCS/PLC/RTU) in networks.
  •  Network design experience in the following: VLAN, RSTP, MRP, HRSP, PRP, VRRP, OSPF, BGP, VRF, MPLS, IPSEC, MACSEC and similar stacks
  • Data link technology experience in WiFi, Fiber, LTE, 5G,
  • Good Networking analysis and troubleshooting practices such as NMS, SNMP, Wireshark
  • Working knowledge of Linux KVM, Docker, ESX and similar Virtualization platforms
  • Networking Certifications such as CCNP or Siemens certifications (Ruggedcom, Scalance) is an asset
  • Cybersecurity Certifications such as GICSP, or IEC62443 is a plus.
  • Excellent command of the English language, professional knowledge of a second language (French, Spanish) is an asset
  • Excellent command of Word, Excel, VISIO, Power Point and Outlook, M365 Copilot, AI
  • Able to accommodate 30% to 50 % of travel – domestic and international (USA, Europe and South America)

Location: Concord, Ontario


Salary is commensurate with experience, and ranges between $ 76,000 CAD - $ 110,000 CAD, excluding bonus and benefits. In addition to base salary, this role includes eligibility for an annual discretionary bonus of 10% of the  base salary, based on Company performance metrics.
