Today, we are recruiting for a Environmental & Social Coordinator (North Coast) to join our team in Egypt. This is an excellent career opportunity for professionals looking to join a truly international team in one of the biggest projects of Siemens Mobility.
What are my responsibilities?
- Support the implementation of the Environmental and Social Management System (ESMS).
- Monitor compliance with ESMPs, national regulations, and international standards.
- Conduct site inspections and verify mitigation measures.
- Monitor contractors’ environmental and social performance.
- Collect and consolidate E&S data; prepare periodic performance reports.
- Maintain E&S documentation and track KPIs, including submissions to financiers where applicable.
- Support the Grievance Redress Mechanism (GRM) and follow up on corrective actions.
- Coordinate with engineering, HSE, contractors, and consultants on E&S matters.
- Review contractor documentation and support audits and verification processes.
- Support monitoring of labor conditions, worker welfare, GBV requirements, and community health & safety.
What do I need to qualify for this job?
- Bachelor’s degree in science, Engineering , environmental science, Environmental Engineering, Sustainability, or a related field.
- High flexibility, Valid driving license and willingness to travel across project sites.
- Minimum of 2–4 years of experience in environmental, social, or sustainability roles.
- Strong background in environmental and social management principles.
- Strong Knowledge in data collection, reporting, and documentation.
- Strong communication, coordination, and organization skills.
- Familiarity with MS Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) is a must.
- Experience in infrastructure, construction, transport, or donor-funded projects is highly advantageous.
- Familiarity with World Bank, IFC, or EBRD environmental and social standards is a plus.
