Come join Siemens Sustainability Energy Services; one of the fastest growing segments in the commercial building market, as the Business Development Manager for our Central Region. Primary responsibility is driving growth in Siemens Energy Services business in the United States for the Smart Infrastructure Sustainability business. Reporting to the Head of Energy Services, this role will provide support for the conceptualization, design, development and successful implementation of our Sustainability Energy Services strategy and programs. In collaboration with the Smart Infrastructure Buildings field operations and Sustainability leadership, you will support execution of strategic analysis, strategy definition, business planning and implementation of all activities required for growth of the Sustainability Energy Services business.
This is a remote role but would need to be located near Chicago, St. Louis, Detroit, or Indianapolis due to proximity to a branch office.As a Business Development Manager, you will:
- Drive growth in Siemens Energy Services business in the Central Region for the Smart Infrastructure Buildings operating group. Incentive targets will include, but will not be limited to, top line order growth, revenue, and revenue margin.
- Demonstrate and communicate a complete understanding of Siemens’ Energy Services portfolio technologies through expert knowledge of building applications functionality, end-user operations and customer requirements
- Collaborate with zone and branch leadership to develop Sustainability Energy Services business plans each year for each Area office to be a roadmap for growth in orders
- Ability to drive Outcome Based Services with a main differentiator of Energy Services powered by Digital and Data driven services as well as Building X
- Familiarity with Building Commissioning services and national building commissioning trade entities and programs, including certification entities such as BCxA and BCCB
- Collaborate with internal and external resources to develop, effectively sell and execute all Sustainability Energy Service offerings, ensuring business plans and financial goals are met
- Identify and/or support acquisition and business development activities with key customers in selected vertical markets
- Provide education and training for Sales and Operations on Sustainability Energy Services offerings
- Assist in development of sales resource deployment and market development along with complete market analysis understanding
- Maintain standard monthly reporting systems for financial, sales, and operations performance on business
- Respond to management requests for analysis of business trends and performance metrics on ad hoc and regular basis to identify problems or opportunities for improvement
- Participate in and becomes a company advocate in regional association meetings
- Collateral, case studies, sales promotional needs as required in support of business

- Expected travel: Up to 50%
- Candidate must reside or be willing to relocate within the Central Zone geographic territory (specifically in or near Chicago, IL; Indianapolis, IN; Detroit, MI; or St. Louis, MO.)
- Applicants must be legally authorized for employment in the United States without need for current or future employer-sponsored work authorization
Preferred Qualifications:
- Bachelor of Science in Engineering, Technology, or other Applied Science
- CEM and PE
- 3+ years direct experience with energy efficiency services sector in commercial building space
- Previous sales support, business development, or B2C sales experience

The pay range for this position is $91,463 - $156,794 annually with a target incentive of 25% of the base salary. The actual wage offered may be lower or higher depending on budget and candidate experience, knowledge, skills, qualifications, and premium geographic location.
