Role Summary
The Head of Industrial Engineering (IE) is responsible for driving productivity, optimizing processes, and enabling operational excellence across the plant/organization. This role 
leads strategic capacity planning, layout design, manpower optimization, automation initiatives, and lean transformation to ensure world-class manufacturing performance.

Key Responsibilities
1. Industrial Engineering Leadership

Lead and mentor the Industrial Engineering team across all units and projects.
Establish IE roadmap aligned with business objectives for productivity, cost, and efficiency.
Drive standardization of methods, processes, and time standards across operations.

2. Capacity & Productivity Management

Own plant capacity planning, line balancing, and productivity benchmarking.
Develop, validate, and update Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and time studies using MTM/ MOST/ stopwatch methods.
Implement improvement plans to achieve productivity KPIs and OEE enhancement.

3. Manufacturing Process Optimization

Lead end-to-end process analysis, waste elimination, and efficiency improvement projects.
Benchmark global best practices and integrate smart manufacturing and automation where feasible.
Drive PFMEA, process capability studies, and cycle time reduction initiatives.

4. Layout Design & Plant Engineering

Oversee plant layout, material flow, workstation design, and ergonomic improvements.
Optimize space utilization for expansion projects and new product introductions.
Ensure compliance with safety, environmental, and regulatory standards.

5. Lean Manufacturing & Operational Excellence

Champion Lean principles: Kaizen, 5S, VSM, Kanban, JIT, TPM, SMED, and Poka-Yoke.
Lead cross-functional improvement projects to reduce costs, lead time, and non-value-added activities.
Develop continuous improvement culture across teams and manufacturing operations.

6. Cost Reduction & Strategic Projects

Drive annual cost improvement projects through process optimization, automation, and layout enhancement.
Collaborate with finance and operations on business cases and ROI evaluations.
Partner with design/R&D on manufacturability (DFMA) for new products.

7. Data-Driven Manufacturing

Implement and leverage digital tools for work measurement, analytics, and productivity tracking.
Analyze performance data to uncover bottlenecks and improvement opportunities.
Lead transition towards Industry 4.0 maturity in IE functions
