Job Summary

We are looking for a Manufacturing Engineer with strong experience in metallurgy lab operations, product failure analysis, and vacuum interrupter manufacturing. The role involves supporting manufacturing processes, improving brazing quality, and ensuring high standards of product reliability through testing and analysis.

Key Responsibilities

Metallurgy Lab & Testing

  • Perform mechanical and metallurgical testing of components

  • Operate metallurgy lab equipment such as microscopes and surface preparation tools (cutting, grinding, polishing)

  • Conduct microstructure evaluation and brazing failure analysis

  • Analyze gas content in high vacuum brazing furnaces

Quality Control & Analysis

  • Operate quality lab equipment including 2D projector, contour graph, and plating thickness tester

  • Perform product failure analysis and maintain detailed records

  • Ensure product quality checks at Q-Gate stages

Manufacturing Process & Operations

  • Handle precision assembly processes for Vacuum Interrupters

  • Operate equipment such as:

    • High vacuum brazing furnace

    • Ultrasonic welding & resistance spot welding machines

    • Injection molding machines

  • Manage processes in ISO Class 4/6/7 cleanroom environments

  • Perform alcohol-based cleaning and contamination control

Process Improvement & Maintenance

  • Drive brazing process improvements for enhanced efficiency and quality

  • Implement Poka-Yoke and Kaizen initiatives

  • Conduct jig and fixture health checks for error-free assembly

  • Perform basic maintenance of manufacturing equipment

  • Control assembly defects and improve process reliability

Utilities & Compliance

  • Operate and monitor utilities (chillers, argon supply, water systems, pneumatic systems)

  • Maintain 5S standards in the workplace

  • Ensure QMS documentation is updated and compliant

Collaboration & Reporting

  • Work closely with cross-functional teams (Quality, Production, R&D)

  • Maintain and update manufacturing databases

Qualifications & Skills

Education:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering (or related field)

Experience & Skills:

  • Hands-on experience in metallurgy lab operations and failure analysis

  • Knowledge of brazing processes and vacuum technology

  • Familiarity with cleanroom practices and precision assembly

  • Understanding of quality tools, QMS, and continuous improvement methodologies

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
