About the role

As a Business Developer for Direct Current Applications, you will work with customers across the Nordics to develop practical solutions and long-term strategies.

In this role, you’ll lead technical discussions, understand customer challenges, and turn them into clear and realistic solution concepts and plans. You’ll work closely with Account Managers, Headquarters, and R&D, helping to connect customer needs with what Siemens can offer.
You’ll also collaborate with customers, system integrators, and partners to shape electrification and digitalization solutions.

The position is based in Espoo, Finland and includes some travel within the Nordics.


Your primary responsibilities will include: 

  • Work with Headquarters and R&D to develop customer-focused strategies
  • Develop solution concepts and implementation plans together with customers and partners
  • Turn complex technical requirements into clear and understandable solutions
  • Prepare and present technical documentation and proposals
  • Stay up to date on industry developments and Siemens offerings
  • Support Account Managers and Sales teams in technical discussions and business cases
  • Share customer insights and market feedback with the wider organization

To be successful in this role, you must have:

  • Solid technical background in electrical engineering and/or digitalization 
  • Experience in customer-facing technical roles (e.g. solution sales, consulting, technical sales, product management) 
  • Good understanding of DC systems, power electronics, and smart grid technologies, with the ability to evaluate solution architectures 
  • Ability to translate customer requirements into practical solutions and offerings 
  • Comfortable leading technical discussions and handling complex topics 
  • Understanding of digital concepts and industry trends 
  • Strong communication, documentation, and presentation skills 
  • Collaborative and solution-oriented way of working with a big-picture mindset 
  • Proactive approach to identifying new business opportunities
