The Job

Siemens EDA is seeking a Senior Software Developer to join the Aprisa family.

In this role, you will develop advanced placement optimization technologies that deliver PPA improvements for leading-edge semiconductor designs. You will collaborate closely with the CTS, routing, and timing analysis teams to create highly integrated implementation solutions and improve timing convergence across the physical design flow.

Key responsibilities include:

l   Design and develop algorithms for timing-driven and congestion-aware placement optimization.

l   Develop advanced buffering and buffer optimization methodologies to improve timing, and routability while minimizing area and power overhead.

l   Collaborate with the CTS team to improve timing correlation between placement optimization and clock tree synthesis.

l   Work across implementation stages to enhance timing predictability, convergence, and overall design quality.

What You Have Done

A Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering (EE), Computer Engineering (CE), or Computer Science (CS) with 5-10 years of experience in large-scale enterprise software projects is highly desirable but not required. However, expertise in developing new algorithms and optimizing large-scale software projects is greatly appreciated.

You should have a solid understanding of C/C++ software development and debugging techniques, including:

l   Proficiency in C/C++.

l   Knowledge of placement algorithms, legalization, timing-driven optimization, or congestion optimization.

l   Understanding of CTS methodologies, useful skew optimization and timing correlation challenges.

Additionally, the following skills are a plus:

1. Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills to effectively collaborate with cross-functional teams.
2. Adaptability: Ability to adapt to new technologies and methodologies quickly.
3. Teamwork: Strong interpersonal skills to work effectively within a team environment.
