Position Overview:

Join our team and play a key role in shaping the future of urban transportation! We are looking for a highly skilled Technician to support the troubleshooting and repair of next-generation electric Light Rail Vehicles (LRVs) delivered to the local transit authority in Cleveland, OH. This is an exciting opportunity to work on cutting-edge technology and ensure reliable, safe, and efficient rail service for the community.
The ideal candidate will bring strong expertise in electrical, mechanical, and hydraulic systems, along with a passion for problem-solving and innovation.

What your day-to-day will look like:

• Perform electrical and mechanical repairs using mechanical drawings, schematics, and circuit location plans.
• Diagnose and resolve electrical malfunctions in LRV control circuits and components; determine corrective actions.
• Operate shop machinery and hand tools safely and effectively.
• Adhere to company and industry safety standards, rules, and procedures.
• Communicate technical information, job recommendations, and work-related updates clearly, both verbally and in writing.
• Collaborate and assist team members as needed.
• Read, interpret, and maintain written or electronic documentation; compile accurate reports.
• Utilize Portable Test Units (PTUs) and laptops to troubleshoot onboard LRV systems.

To thrive in this role, you have:

• High school diploma or GED required; college degree preferred.
• Minimum of 5 years of relevant experience.
• Strong proficiency in electrical, hydraulic, and mechanical troubleshooting.
• Valid driver’s license in good standing.
• Must be at least 21 years of age to participate in the Siemens vehicle plan.
• Applicants must be legally authorized for employment in the United States without needing current or future employer-sponsored work authorization.

What will make you stand out:

• Proficiency in electrical, mechanical, and hydraulic troubleshooting.
• 1–5 years of experience with light rail electrical systems; familiarity with SIBAS preferred.
• Skilled in static and dynamic testing using MEX tools.

Additional Information:

• Lump-sum relocation assistance authorized.

The base salary range for this position in Ohio is $55,000.00 – $65,000.00. The salary may be higher or lower depending on the budget and the candidate's experience, knowledge, skills, and qualifications.

The pay range for this position is $55,000.00 - $65,000.00 annually. The actual wage offered may be lower or higher depending on budget and candidate experience, knowledge, skills, qualifications, and premium geographic location.
