Job Summary:

Provide authorization service and consultancy for all Siemens services and platforms, ensuring audit compliance, and resilience. Focus lies also on fostering usage of new technologies to extend digitalization and AI to bring value for the company. You will support in corporate projects as well as in all running services delivering authorization concepts and expertise to identify and mitigate risks, protect sensitive data and fortify our system landscape by using the newest technologies and procedures.

You’ll make an impact by:

• As an Architect for Authorization BTP, you are responsible for the offered services, solutions and platforms and for the development of the respective portfolio, which includes accurate develop guidelines, implementation and also the related projects in this area.
• You push authorization processes to a next level of digitalization with the target to give to the SHERPA X and harmonization (Sherpa X is the ERP redesign project within Siemens, which includes a template)
• You are the key contact and trusted partner for your area
• You are the technical lead for Cloud authorizations and provide technical support in alignment with platform responsible
• You are part of a BTP Authorization team and you take care for personnel development of the team
• You support implementation of Siemens security guidelines for all BTP applications
• Provide direction, and inspiration to the Authorization Team members towards its goals, also by trend scouting and bringing in innovations
• Preparations and alignment with Siemens Architecture/integration roadmap and Service owners
• Improve reporting and visibility
• Support harmonization processes & tools in alignment with Siemens Service Owners, Application Managers and partners
• Fostering collaboration between Authorization Team, Security Management and Platform Lifecycle Management teams

• 10+ years of hands-on Solid background in ERP Basis, SAP Security, Architecture/Integration and network areas also related to Salesforce and MS Dynamics or equivalent experience
• Solid background in ERP Authorization management
• Strong ERP Knowhow and a proven track record in international Teams
• Strong digitalization background (e.g., in automation, AI, make value out of data)
• Well-grounded experience in requirements engineering, solution design and implementation combined with a strong customer orientation
• Tight-knit collaboration, communication and lateral leadership skills
• SAP Authorization & Trust Management Service (XSUAA): Deep understanding of this core service for managing application authorizations, authentication, and trust to identity providers.
• Roles vs. Role Collections: Ability to define granular "Roles" (technical permissions within an application) and group them into "Role Collections" (business-level access) that are assigned to users.
• Security Architecture (Account Model): Knowing how to manage authorizations at different levels, primarily the Global Account, Directory, and Sub account, space levels, and understanding how they interact.
• Application Security Descriptor (xs-security.json): The ability to read, write, and configure this manifest file to define the scopes, roles, and attributes an application requires.
• Identity Provider (IdP) Integration: Experience connecting and managing trust with identity providers, especially SAP Cloud Identity Services (Identity Authentication and Identity Provisioning).
• SAML 2.0 & OpenID Connect (OIDC): Understanding these protocols for single sign-on (SSO) and identity federation.
• Principal Propagation: Knowledge of how to securely forward a user's identity from a BTP application to a backend system (like S/4HANA or an on-premise system) to enforce permissions end-to-end.
