Siemens Corporation is seeking a motivated individual for a Tax Manager position serving our Digital Industries Software business. The position requires a team player that is highly organized, responsive, and flexible. One who can balance multiple projects using the digital tools of Siemens’ technology landscape to produce accurate and timely results in a fast-paced environment.
We are looking for a Tax Manager. This is a hybrid position and can be based in Iselin, New Jersey or Plano, Texas.
You’ll make an impact by:
As a key team member, you'll manage tax processes with precision and expertise within the Technology industry. Your responsibilities include:
- Tax Return Preparation & Review:
- Prepare and/or review proforma federal tax returns using Corptax.
- Prepare and/or review consolidated/combined state corporate income tax returns, leveraging Corptax, internal tools, or third-party preparers. This includes managing state extensions and quarterly payment calculations.
- Calculate book-to-tax adjustments and apply tax attributes.
- Income Tax Provision Support:
- Prepare and/or review quarterly and annual income tax provisions, including Provision-to-Return analyses.
- International Tax Expertise:
- Review international tax returns, such as Form 5471 and Form 8858.
- Support international tax calculations, including Foreign Tax Credit (FTC), Foreign-Derived Intangible Income (FDII), and Global Intangible Low-Taxed Income (GILTI).
- Collaboration & Communication:
- Engage with operating company personnel, third-party advisors, and taxing authorities on tax provision, compliance, planning, and controversy issues.
- Team Leadership & Mentorship:
- Lead and mentor junior tax professionals, fostering their growth and ensuring high-quality work output.
- Process Improvement & Innovation:
- Proactively identify opportunities to streamline compliance processes and drive efficiencies through automation.
- Actively seek and identify potential tax planning opportunities for the organization.
- Business Acumen:
- Understand the organization's business operations and contribute to problem resolution when tax-related issues arise.
You’ll win us over by having the following qualifications:
Basic Qualifications:
- A Bachelor’s degree in Accounting/Finance is required.
- 6+ years of progressive experience in preparing and/or reviewing federal and state corporate income tax returns.
- 6+ years of technical and practical knowledge of corporate accounting for income taxes is required.
- Proficiency in key software, including CorpTax, Microsoft Office tools, Adobe, Alteryx, SAP, and dashboard tools like Tableau or Power BI.
- 6+ years of experience with tax technical and research skills, enabling navigation of complex tax regulations.
- Must be authorized to work in the United States without the need for sponsorship now or in the future.
Preferred Qualifications:
- A Master’s degree in Tax or Accounting is preferred.
- A Certified Public Accountant (CPA) is preferred.
- Strong oral and written communication skills.
- Public Accounting experience is a plus.

- The pay range for this position is $89,821-$153,979 and the annual incentive target is 10% of the base salary. The actual wage offered may be lower or higher depending on budget and candidate experience, knowledge, skills, qualifications and premium geographic location.
