This role is central to achieving operational excellence, reducing waste, and ensuring seamless coordination between production, logistics, planning, and warehouse teams.
Responsibilities:
Production Engineering
- Provide daily shop‑floor support to meet safety, quality, delivery, and productivity targets.
- Develop, maintain, and improve standardized work, SOPs, work instructions, and routings.
- Lead structured problem solving (5 Why, Ishikawa, 8D) and implement corrective / preventive actions.
- Support new product introductions (NPIs), engineering changes, and production transfers.
- Optimize processes by reducing cycle times, balancing labor, and improving equipment utilization.
- Collaborate with quality, maintenance, and production teams to prevent defects, downtime, and rework.

- Define packaging, labeling, and internal transport requirements that support safe, efficient flow.
- Recommend warehouse layout improvements to increase accessibility and reduce handling time.
- Use data (shortages, KPIs, route performance) to identify bottlenecks and optimize internal logistics.
- Ensure compliance with all safety requirements for material handling and storage.
What will you need to succeed?

- 5–10 years experience in manufacturing/production engineering.
- Strong shop‑floor experience improving processes and solving operational issues.
- Solid understanding of logistics, material planning, and inventory management.
- Experience with ERP/MRP systems (SAP, Oracle, Teamcenter, or equivalent).
- Strong analytical and structured problem‑solving skills.
- Excellent communication and cross‑functional teamwork abilities.
Location: You will be required to work between Concord and Peterborough locations until such time as operational requirements necessitate your transition to the Concord location.
