Job profile Mechanical system Engineer:

1. Our product

A static excitation system for synchronous generators and reactive power machines. It is suitable for use in gas, steam, water or nuclear power plants as well as for converters or reactive power machines.

2. Task definition

You will be working closely with our teams in Austria to perform the Generator Excitation System projects which includes Cabinet modelling , bus bars & sheet metal design in Solid Edge , NX and PLM tools. You will have interfaces to other discipline and designers. This position is based in Gurgaon (India) and majority of the tasks are to design new R&D projects from concept to detail design. But the role also demands support in Global Customer Order Engineering projects.

Job tasks include:

• Communication & Collaboration with Colleagues in Austria.

• Responsible for preparing and issue, customer submission documents in accordance with Scope of supply.

• Modeling & Planning of Generator Excitation cabinets in solid edge & NX tool, in team center environment.

• Participate in engineering interface reviews & meetings.

• Control and Own 3D cabinets, bus bars, sheet metal , BOM preparation as well as checking.

Required Knowledge/Skills and Experience:

• Diploma/Degree in Mechanical Engineering.

• 7 to 12 years of experience in Designing of Generator Excitation and protection system like Siemens excitation systems THYRIPOL / RG3 / DIGUREG etc. and ‘know-how’ on the product offerings would be an added advantage.

• Competent handling of 3d Software (Preferably Solid Edge ,NX).

• Drawing extractions of Cabinet layout, copper bus bars, sheet metal parts, Proposal drawings to Manufacturer/ supplier as per requirement.

• provide technical assistance to Customer / Shop floor / Erection & Commissioning teams.

• Solid experience with working in a global team.

• Ability to travel in India & globally to various sites.

• Ability and willingness to learn new fields,

• High flexibility in taking new tasks/responsibilities.

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

• Coaching & Multiplier Skills including Training.
