Your Role and Impact:

We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Service Engineer specializing in Electrical Power Systems to join our team in El Salvador. In this dynamic role, you will be at the forefront of ensuring the reliability and optimal performance of our customers' critical electrical infrastructure. You will leverage your expertise in medium voltage systems, protection relays, and substation control to deliver exceptional service, from installation and commissioning to advanced troubleshooting and maintenance.

What you'll do:

  • Execute a broad scope of technical tasks, including the installation, commissioning, maintenance, and evaluation of customer equipment and systems.
  • Determine priorities for tasks and actions, and schedule measures accordingly to ensure timely and efficient service delivery.
  • Provide comprehensive remote and on-site support to customers, offering 2nd and 3rd level technical assistance for complex issues.
  • Contribute to the continuous improvement of internal tools, equipment, processes, and data repositories.
  • Participate in activities for the estimation, planning, and review of technical tasks, supporting overall project acquisition, negotiation, and management.
  • Adhere strictly to all relevant processes, regulations, and safety standards.
  • Oversee sub-contractors and monitor their delivery to ensure quality and compliance.
  • Potentially contribute to technical design and development initiatives for new service offerings.
  • Supervise the assembly and commissioning of medium voltage equipment.
  • Perform commissioning of medium voltage switchgear.
  • Program protection relays for various applications.

What you'll bring:

  • Educational Background: Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering.
  • Experience: Proven experience in power systems, specifically with medium voltage systems, protection relays, and substation control and monitoring.
  • Technical Skills:
    • Demonstrated experience in supervising the assembly and commissioning of medium voltage equipment.
    • Hands-on experience with commissioning medium voltage switchgear.
    • Proficiency in programming protection relays.
  • Language Skills: Advanced English proficiency (for training, reading technical documentation, writing reports, and technical communication).
  • Mobility:
    • Availability to travel frequently outside the country
    • Valid driver's license (essential).
    • A valid US Visa is a plus, but not indispensable.
  • Soft Skills: Strong problem-solving abilities, excellent communication skills, and a customer-focused approach.
