Position Overview

Tessent R&D is seeking a highly experienced and accomplished engineer to architect innovative and comprehensive DFT products and solutions. You will work directly with customers to understand their needs, workflows, and industry trends. You will be responsible for designing functionality and flows that comprehensively address those needs while collaborating across the organization to define, refine, implement, test, document, deploy, and support solutions. Your work may span the entire Tessent flow, including IP generation and insertion, test pattern generation, verification and debug, silicon bring-up, and in-field test and analytics.

The ideal candidate is highly motivated, energetic, and driven to develop a solution vision and execute everything needed to bring it to market. You must be open-minded and collaborative, working effectively with R&D, marketing, sales, and customers. You should possess deep technical expertise across all aspects of DFT technology and flows, with the ability to drive tools as an expert, deliver compelling technical presentations, and write detailed technical documentation. You must demonstrate meticulous attention to detail and ensure consistency, completeness, and quality across all deliverables. As needed, you may actively participate in IEEE working groups relevant to the Tessent product line.

Required qualifications:                                                           

• 15+ years of experience in DFT, spanning both EDA and semiconductor companies.
• Track record of designing and implementing flows and solutions to complex problems.
• Detailed knowledge and hands-on experience in technologies relevant to the Tessent flow, including IJTAG, SSN, EDT, ATPG, MBIST, LBIST, DRC, SDC, simulation mismatch debug, and silicon bring-up and debug.
• Expert-level proficiency in Tcl development within Tessent Shell.
• Expertise in Verilog and SystemVerilog.
• Demonstrated strong analytical and creative problem-solving skills.
• Excellent verbal, written, and presentation skills in English.
• Knowledge of the complete design flow, including synthesis, place & route, STA, logic equivalence checking, CDC and RDC.
• Strong cross-functional collaboration skills across geographically distributed teams.
