Your Role – Impactful, Meaningful And Future-Oriented
- Supervise and lead mainline railway signalling installation works in accordance with approved drawings, specifications, standards, and operational requirements.
- Manage and coordinate signalling subcontractors to ensure quality, safety, and compliance with the approved programme.
- Plan and oversee daily site activities aligned with installation schedules, possessions, access constraints, and project milestones.
- Conduct site inspections, including equipment installation and cable routing checks, in line with approved procedures and guidelines.
- Identify risks associated with live mainline railway environments and implement effective mitigation measures to ensure safe work execution.
- Prepare, submit, track, and close Requests for Inspection (RFIs) via designated systems, coordinating with the Main Contractor, consultants, and client representatives to avoid delays.
- Maintain accurate installation records, inspection reports, checklists, red-line markups, and as-built documentation in compliance with project requirements.
- Prepare and review generic and task-specific Installation Method Statements for wayside and indoor signalling works.
- Update installation progress in monitoring tools and report regularly to the Scheduler and Project Management team.
- Maintain strong discipline in supervision, inspection, and documentation, balancing approximately 50% site supervision and 50% office-based coordination and reporting.
- Enforce Health, Safety, and Environmental (HSE) requirements, safe work practices, and railway safety rules on site.
Your Qualifications and Skills – Digital and Solid
- Diploma in Electrical, Electronics, or Mechanical Engineering, or Secondary School qualification with substantial relevant experience.
- Minimum 10 years’ experience in railway or metro signalling projects, including significant exposure to mainline railway signalling works.
- Strong technical knowledge of interlockings, point machines, track circuits, signals, and associated wayside and indoor signalling systems.
- Proven experience working in live railway or brownfield environments.
- Strong documentation, reporting, and coordination skills, with proficiency in MS Excel, MS Word, and MS Outlook.
- Effective communication skills to coordinate with subcontractors, consultants, clients, and internal project teams.
