The Team Integrated Risk Controlling is a member of the global Risk Controlling and Pricing department and acts as the subject matter specialist for Siemens Financial Services, especially Siemens Bank on methods, processes and frameworks for integrated risk controlling and overall bank management. Our team is responsible for Siemens Bank’s internal capital adequacy assessment process including risk inventory and risk strategy as well as controlling of non-financial risks and the new product approval process.

We are looking for (Junior) Risk Controller (f/m/d) – Integrated Risk Controlling with the position located in Munich to join our team.

You’ll make an impact by: 
  • Supporting the preparation of regular risk reporting and analyses for internal stakeholders and contributing to the bank’s ICAAP-related processes.
  • Helping measure and analyse the bank’s risk profile by preparing evaluations and maintaining elements of the risk inventory.
  • Contributing to operational / non-financial risk activities (e.g., collecting inputs, preparing overviews, tracking measures) to help identify, assess, and mitigate risks.
  • Supporting the New Product Approval Process by coordinating documentation and assisting with risk assessments before new offerings are launched. 
  • Helping promote a strong risk culture by improving transparency, documentation quality, and stakeholder communication.
  • Assisting with risk strategy and framework topics (e.g., preparing drafts, consolidating feedback) aligned with business goals and regulatory expectations.
  • Presenting regular risk reports and in-depth risk analyses to the Management Board and Risk Committee. 
  • Contributing to internal knowledge sharing (e.g., helping create training materials on evolving regulatory requirements and best practices).

This is how you´ll win us over:
  • Education & Experience:
    • Recently completed university degree in a quantitative field (e.g., Finance, Economics, Mathematics, or similar). 
    • First practical exposure to banking, risk, auditing, consulting, controlling, or data analytics—through internships, working student roles, thesis projects, or graduate programs (0–2 years).
  • Expertise & Skills:
    • Strong analytical thinking and interest in quantitative methods and data-driven problem solving
    • Interest (or first hands-on experience) in data tools such as PowerBI and/or SQL for analysis and reporting
    • Curiosity about governance, frameworks, and integrated risk controlling concepts.
    • Interest in operational / non-financial risk topics (e.g., Self Assessments, risk indicators, loss data collection).
    • Strong communication skills to explain analyses clearly to different stakeholders.
    • International experience is a plus (e.g., semester abroad, internship, exchange).
  • Ways of working: Exceptional planning, organizational, and problem-solving skills; embraces a growth mindset and thrives in dynamic environments
  • Languages: Business proficiency in German and English
