Position Title: Project Engineer - Team Lead

Hours: Monday – Friday, 8:00 am to 5:00 pm, 40 Hours/ Week

Summary of Duties: Ensure technical assumptions from AE are reviewed. Verify best schedule against expected engineering timeframes & factory load. Support design efforts (Spec Reviews, Approvals, Factory Releases) with best practices/process improvements. Support PE/ME/ED communications per project. Serve as a Quality Reviewer prior to Customer Approval. Attend Customer meeting as backup/lead. Work with factory on long lead items and come with the list of parts, considering two vendors options for all long lead items when possible. Attend the factory load meeting. Review OCNs report (monthly once) to come with Preventative Action plans. Review field service request and assign to right PE and major NCC case review and come with PA plans Serve as mentor for newly hired engineers. Attend weekly program meetings with Project Managers / Factory Training documents update (Wiki & KDB). Provide input to TPM and R&D Team schedule review (weekly) with Master scheduler and PE team. Review team leader board and provide the feedback to PE's. DTO Coordination as needed. 10% International travel requirement, to Mexico or Germany. Hybrid work permitted.

Qualifications: The position requires a Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field of study and seven (7) years of experience in the job offered or a related role. Will alternately accept a Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field of study and five (5) years of experience in the job offered or a related role. The position requires experience with the following: Four (4) years of experience working as a Project Engineer for Medium Voltage Air-Insulated Switchgear (MV AIS) products. Experience working with design and configurator tools for medium-voltage electrical power distribution products and systems. Ability to analyze customer technical specifications and apply appropriate protection and control system solutions in a cost-effective and timely manner. Experience in the design, engineering, and execution of MV AIS systems in compliance with ANSI or IEC standards. Experience in specifying and configuring primary switchgear components, including but not limited to circuit breakers, current transformers (CTs), potential transformers (PTs), surge arresters. Knowledge of relay functionalities, including SCADA/DCS integration for MV switchgear projects. Hands-on experience using ERP systems such as SAP, and engineering tools such as NXTOOL+ or equivalent platforms. Demonstrated ability to mentor and train junior engineers and share technical knowledge effectively within engineering teams. Strong organizational skills and the ability to multitask and respond to varying business demands. Strong communication skills for interfacing with customers, managing technical clarifications, coordinating design approvals, and preparing compliance documentation.
