Role Overview
We are looking for a highly motivated Technical Product Manager for Southbound & Northbound Connectivity to lead the strategy, roadmap, and lifecycle management of Niagara Connector, Connect Agent, protocol connectors (e.g., BACnet, Modbus), and externally facing APIs. This role ensures secure, scalable interoperability between Building X, third-party gateways, building automation systems, and partner/customer applications. You will also define and drive the monetization strategy for these connectivity capabilities, developing scalable pricing and packaging models, identifying revenue opportunities, and collaborating closely with finance, sales, and partner management to turn openness and connectivity into measurable business value
Your new responsibilities
- Own and continuously refine the vision, strategy, and roadmap for connectivity products, focusing on connectors, gateways, and application programming interfaces (APIs) within the Building X platform
- Manage the entire product lifecycle by overseeing delivery, reliability, and evolution of the Openness Portfolio, while monitoring key performance indicators (KPIs) related to adoption, performance, and partner engagement
- Translate complex customer and partner integration requirements into scalable, secure, and standards-compliant connectivity solutions, ensuring alignment with market and technological trends
- Foster collaboration with cross-functional teams such as user experience (UX), Sales, Partners, Customer Success, Cybersecurity, and Research and Development (R&D), thereby driving adoption, compliance, and go-to-market success
Your talents and experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or a related technical field; a Master’s degree is preferred
- Minimum of five years of product management experience in Internet of Things (IoT), building automation, industrial integration, or cloud connectivity
- Proven track record managing products involving protocol translation, device connectivity, gateway software, and application programming interface (API) platforms
- Strong knowledge of building automation protocols such as Niagara, BACnet, and Modbus, with familiarity in building management system (BMS) ecosystems
- You demonstrate excellent communication skills, stakeholder management abilities, and thrive in global, cross-functional teams
- Fluent English skills are required
Preferred Skills
- Experience with third-party hardware integration, partner ecosystems, and smart building technologies (HVAC, energy management)
- Knowledge of API design, SDKs, developer platforms, monetization models, and IoT/cybersecurity principles
