Designed to accelerate the energy transition and electrification by adding critically important capabilities, Siemens Grid Software helps utilities shape the future of their power landscape. We offer a whole spectrum of innovative products and solutions - for energy protection and automation as well as communication technology including data analytics technologies based on digital twin solutions and IoT-applications. 

We are looking for a Regional Account Manager to support Siemens’s Grid Software sales efforts in the Northeast Region. The territory includes CT, ME, MA, NH, NY, RI, and VT.

As this role requires a lot of travel in the region (up to 50% travel), this remote position is based in the Eastern or Central Time Zones.

You’ll make an impact as you:

  • Reporting to the Regional Sales Director, you will identify, implement, and drive sales for our Grid Software division focused on the US Northeast Region. The primary metrics for success in this position are Order Intake and Revenue.
  • Some of the highlights of this role that will contribute to achieving yearly sales targets & overall success include:
    • Own and manage the sales book of business in the northeast US for non-key accounts.
    • Lead the development and execution of go-to-market growth initiatives, sales strategies, and account plans for Tier 2 accounts in the northeast US.
    • Cultivate relationships with target investor-owned utilities, electric cooperatives, municipalities, data center developers, and renewable energy developers.
    • Drive the launch/roll-out of new offerings and commercial models.
    • Provide the regional sales director with routine updates on forecast, funnel, initiatives, and key opportunities.
    • Clearly communicate Grid Software’s vision, value proposition, and key differentiators to C-level customers.

You’ll win us over by having the following qualifications:

Basic qualifications:

  • Sufficient experience (3+ years) selling B2B software, with experience selling to energy utility customers preferred
  • Demonstrated ability to manage, analyze, and win complex bids
  • You are an owner - you take ownership for any issue relating to your business
  • Ability to communicate with all levels of an organization including director/VP and C-Suite
  • Ability to build, take charge of, and manage sales campaigns
  • Proven track record of account management, including accurate sales forecasting, sales process management, and successful attainment of quota across multiple product lines
  • Demonstrated negotiating skills, conflict management, and a sense of accountability
  • Ability to strategize and creatively solve problems to overcome customer challenges
  • Passionate about leading, empowering, and developing people
  • Ability to travel 50%
  • Must be legally authorized for employment in the United States without the need for current or future employer-sponsored work authorization unless you are a current Siemens employee whose work authorization could be supported by our immigration team.  

Preferred qualifications:

  • Experience in On-Prem and Cloud-Based Solutions
  • Experience with MEDDPICC and/or Challenger selling preferred
  • Proficiency with Salesforce preferred
  • Knowledge of electric power distribution networks
  • Bachelor’s degree in science or business preferred

The pay range for this position is $91,463 - $188,006 annually plus an uncapped commission structure. The actual wage offered may be lower or higher depending on budget and candidate experience, knowledge, skills, qualifications, and premium geographic location.
