We’re seeking an experienced Electrical Engineer to create drawings for switchgear design for manufacturing. This position is hybrid, with onsite work and opportunities to work from home. You’ll make a difference by:
- Developing electrical designs for MV switchgear GMSG & SIMOVAC control panels in accordance with Customer project specifications and applicable IEEE standards.
- Preparing Single-Line Diagrams (SLDs), control schematics, wiring diagrams, and Bills of Material (BOM).
- Being able to read and understand General Arrangement (GA) drawings.
- Selecting switchgear components — MCBs, MCCBs, ACBs, contactors, metering devices, Test switch, Control Switch, terminal blocks and protection relays.
- Reviewing the technical specifications of project and device used and use them on the customer and Manufacturing drawing packages and able to ensure technical compliance and identify design risks early.
- Coordinating with Project Engineer, Procurement & Liaison team for resolving issues and maintaining quality of your delivery and manufacturability of the design delivered
- Supporting the Liaison engineering team for any issue during manufacturing support for your project.
- Managing design revisions, maintain documentation control, and provide regular project status reporting to Manager and other team members working on same project.
- Driving continuous improvement in design standards, templates, and best practices.
You’ll win us over by having the following qualifications:
Basic Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or Electrical & Electronics Engineering or similar field.
- Two (2) or more years of hands-on experience in LV switchgear or control panel design.
- Strong working knowledge of IEEE standards and Switchgear panel design practices.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Package, SharePoint, SAP and any CRM software.
- Proven understanding of electrical components, protection systems, and panel construction.
- Ability to read, interpret, and produce technical drawings, schematics, and specifications.
- Strong analytical, communication, and problem-solving skills, with a diligent mindset.
- Legally authorized to work in the United States without company sponsorship now or in the future.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience in Electrical AutoCAD (2D)/EPLAN/EBASE.
- Knowledge of Siemens switchgear products or other switchgear brands.

The pay range for this position is $68,830 - $117,994 annually. The actual wage offered may be lower or higher depending on budget and candidate experience, knowledge, skills, qualifications, and premium geographic location.
